Default C16 or pump gas w/meth injection?

I am in the middle of my LQ4 S476R build. It's stock bottom end, TU2 cam, LS9 gaskets, and head studs. My fuel system contains stock 99 tank, dual 340 pumps, -8 feed, stock feed line as my return, and 80# injectors. I would like to just run on pump gas for a street tune and C16 race gas for a track tune, but since I have a stock tank it will be very difficult to switch between pump gas and race gas when I go to the track. So I thought about meth injection but I see mixed reviews and feelings about it so I'm unsure. I'm new to forced induction. What would you guys recommend?

Personally, I like running meth because it is only used when I'm in full boost. Running race gas, like you said, you've got to run the tank low, then fill with c16, which you're burning going to the line, doing your burnout, coming back the return road, etc.

Plus methanol is cheaper per gallon than c16.

Just run 93 and meth. When you want more octane mix in some 104 Sunoco unleaded or VP 109.

I was thinking of putting a bulkhead fitting in the bottom of my tank so I could drain my pump gas into a gas can and then put in a few gallons of c16. But that would be a huge pita. Not to mention c16 is big money. I thought about e85 but I don't think my fuel system is big enough to support it.

Yeah that is one way to get the fuel out, hook up a battery charger, disconnect line at the regulator and dump it into a bucket. How long does the meth injection last before I have to refill?

Depends on how much its spraying and how much the reservoir you have it in holds.

If you have a multi port regulator you could install a quick connect fitting in one of the ports and never have to undo your other lines and leak fuel everywhere in the process...

I can get about 100 hits on a 1 gallon tank before it needs to be refilled.

I have a 3 gallon trunk mounted tank and I can go months on a half tank. Thats the beauty of meth its only used when your beating on it.

I like the idea with the quick connect fitting on the regulator. So the meth def last a good while. I was worried I would have to constantly be filling it like I had to when I had nitrous. I will start looking at some kits, I've heard a lot of good things about alky control.
