What kind of dyno are you running on? I have put 26 psi to my stock bottom end lq4 a few times on street. Dnt do it if you're not comfortable but I think your engine can take all that turbo has to offer if tune is good.

I would turn it up till I got the number, or i'd shot it. Both dyno's have been Dyno jets. Going off my track times I should be right at 1000 wheel with 22psi and a 50 shot. So I'd guess 24-25psi or so should cover what that 50 gave me, but again to get 24psi at 6.5k, I'd see close to 28 or more at 5k.

Is it spiking or creeping? Spiking being that it peaks then comes back down. Creeping being that up top it slowly raises up past where you intended?

Spikes from around 5k to 5500, then levels out after 5500 and holds solid till 7k. Thats why last time on the dyno it had nearly the same HP peak at 5k as it did at 6.5k because at 6.5 it was lower 3-4psi.

My issue is I don't want to see 30psi to have a solid 25psi dyno graph.

Mine will do that too it spikes then the wg openes. Once you get close to max on the turbo it levels off. Mine was slamming 20 psi at 3800 rpm as soon as I went wot so I rolled into it and didn't go wot until around 5k.

Yeah that may work if I understand correctly. So you just rolled into the throttle on the dyno, say 50-75% till 5k and then to flooor board?

Yes. I was afraid kicking the rods out with 20 psi below 5K.

Stock48 what we're your best 60' and 330' times when you were running 9.70's-9.80's in your truck?

Can you setup the TC lockout at a higher rpm in your tuning software?

Is your BC setup like so?

Or is it a bleeder type going to the lower port? I've run both and I don't seem to get the initial spike ever with the first option. I had issues with spiking using the bleed type and lower port like this one....

Check out this spike!

On 9.73 pass with the cast 76mm it went 1.41 60, and 4.019 330'. Best ever 60' out of the truck has been 1.38. Truck has been in the 3.90's before with mid to low 1.4's with the S480 and Pt88.

Forcefed86, mines setup like the first one one. Also that poor dsm did have a pretty nastey spike, what was that a 30r with a bolt on housing? Or maybe a holset turbo?

Jake, just looked on the tuning laptop, don't have any saved on it oddly enough. You wouldn't really be able to see it anyways as i'm still on a 2 bar setup. I need to start loggin a 3 bar input just to keep an eye on things.

Very nice. What would it pick up out the back mph and E.T. wise?

Trying to gauge power between your truck and Rob's.

My truck only picks up 27-28 mph out the back half in 4wd with the 28x11.50 slicks up front. With the GT76 on 20psi it went 112 in the 1/8, and 139.xx out the back. S480 at 22 psi went 117.xx to the 1/8 and got thrown out of track before I could run it out. Out here in the west we have NHRA up our *** as soon as you drop below 7.3 or 11.50 with no cage.

Rob talked to the guy running tech at LS Fest and got the green light which I was amazed that he was able to make the runs he did and not get booted.

I think Rob's truck has a 9.50@143-144 in it on boost alone in cool air on 24-26psi.

The way his truck separates, it really needs a good shock out back to slow down the extension so it doesn't hit the tires so hard that it unloads which he has told me it wants to do if he ups the launch RPM more than 3600-3800. Under 3800 though he's stuck in 1.48-1.54 60' zone which won't get the 330' into the 3.90's where you had yours.

This little red truck impresses me more and more every time he takes it out though.

That was really cool they let him do that. Next yr I might tow my nova from Ca out there to LS fest with the truck and run both of them. Yes I think he should have at least that once boost is turned up and air get better. The heat is a killer. I can't wait to get the Nova in some good da. It was 3300' 95 deg when the 8.39 was ran.

Doesn't your truck pick up like 3mph when you run in 2wd?

According to the DA calculator for Beech Bend Raceway Park on September 7th 2013 at 7:00 P.M. the DA was 2331.

At 6:00 P.M. it was 2580 and at 8:00 P.M. it was 2157.

Looks like DA peaked around 2800 at 3:00 P.M.

Judging by the sun in Rob's video when he made his run it was between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M.

Not bad for a truck that weighs 4600lbs.

Damn I would kill for those DA's. It's pretty rare to see anything under 4200 here. Let it eat at 24psi on the dyno and see what she does. 26psi seems like a lot
