How is spool between the Gt91 and bw? Did GT91 blow up on you?

gt91 had alot of shaft play. still worked and made good power.

spool is way better with the bw but i made a few changes at the same time i changed turbos. and now that i changed coverters its way better down low.

i went to a 2.25" crossover and a c02 boost controller at the same time. both things will make it spool faster so i dont have a good apples to apples comparison.

I have a customer going to be using the same "size" turbo on a stock bottom end 6.0, but he is using a GT5518 with a .90 AR housing. He has a similar camshaft as well, but is using 317 heads. Awesome run!

Car looks great and runs even better but I Just have a question for more experienced guys on this setup, how do you think this car would work without the intercooler and just add more alky/water injection? Im building my car now and would like to do it w/o the intercooler for a few reasons.
1. Less weight
2. Less plumbing
3. Cheaper
4. Easier to package w/o all those tubes.
Even if I would have to run C16 for fuel for above 12psi boost or so I still think it has advantages? What do you guys think about this? JMO Thanks Clint

we did this a year ago, no IC 100 shot of nitrous and lots and lots of meth, 26lbs of boost, because who would run 12lbs? IATs reached 240 degrees and it melted both heaeds... on this setup we put the IC back and stayed e85 and no meth. as far as cheaper, that is $100 ebay ICnot sure if you have priced c16 lately but it doesnt come out to cheaper.

Well thanks for the info, that's why I asked. We're you running pump gas and meth? I was thinking about just using 12 psi on the street and anytime I would go to the track it would be on C16 and meth.

I was running E85 and meth, but I now have an ebay IC that I plan to ad after Super Chevy in 2 weeks. It is only an A2A but I plan on putting it under the front bumper horizontal instead of vertical, but with a slight tilt to act as a air dam. I hope it drops my IAT's down. Mine reach about 217 right now at worst but the weather is cool. I figure I can always add a couple more lbs of boost if it hurts it a little in performance.

You guys are kicking *** on this car. I am curious how you are reading AFR with the Hptuners and what brand AFR kit you have. My LM1 is not working correctly and almost screwed my engine up Friday doing some tuning.

Keep up the great work. It's a bad *** ride and you guys have been very helpful and have probably helped a lot of people get there car faster. Your help is easily what helped me get from 6.20's to 6.0x
