Huge Congrats to dudeman!! Dudeman and 6.0mustang are two of the most impressive racers, builders and tuners I have honestly come across in many many many moons of racing...

Both are very moddest so I would like too point out some killer things about these two...... This car and 6.0mustang's car are 100% built by these two in their garages...and when I say 100% I dont mean they bought a turbo kit or a built trans and slapped it in the car... They built their own transmissions, rear ends, assemblied and built motors, turbo kits, wiring, roll cages, mini tubs, setup theier own suspension and ecu tuning.. all done by them.. Thats saying alot in my book!!! They caught alot of stuff along the way and alot of people had no faith in what they were capable of doing.... My hats off too these two!!! CANT WAIT TOO SEE WHAT THEY DO NEXT!!

I haven't built all of my stuff but I have built as much as I can. I can honestly say that my dream of 5 sec for a daily driver is almost a reality since I hit 6.04 last Sunday. Dudeman helped me with my timing table and never met the guy. It woke the car up. Others have helped me to get the suspension dialed in, etc.. I really think this entire LS1tech.com website is just way more advanced and professional than most other sites. My car would not even be close to where it is without the Dudeman or the many others on this site, and all my friends who have helped me. I think it is cool you are giving them props.

Nice looks like the car is hooking then spinning always down the track. You still running the Th400 right, that car would fly with a glide!

i am seriously considering the glide. i have a stock case glide in my garage. i may try to build it to hold the power long enough to see how the car does with it. if it does good i will may try to get a built glide with an aftermarket case.

I just built a stock case glide for my turbo build and my older brother has built some that handle 1,200+HP still going. Although the aftermarket case is better, don't think it's necessary at these power levels.

thanks. a just bought a 1000hp glide with stock 1.76

the price was right, the builder is reputable, but im skeptical. i'll just have to keep the power down.

I'v been enjoying this thread! It gives me hope that my junk might make some power, I currently have close to the same drivetrain, ford 9" with 3.55 gears, powerglide, stock 6.0l with very close to the same cam. I think your on the right track with going power glide, I have over 150 runs on a stock 1.76 gear set in front of my old 496 bbc, many passes were wacking it off the line with a 500 shot of n2o. I bought the tsr powerglide transmission book
http://tsr-racing.com/index.php?rout...product_id=677 it tells you everything you need to know about building a race glide, they are by far the simplest GM transmission.

Dudeman what do you have done to your 400? I'm trying to build a 400 on a budget and remember seeing you said it was a budget trans.
