Fresh Turbo Blowing Oil Out of Exhaust
Just got my turbo back from Precision after being repaired. The seals were blown out.
Once i get the car running it smokes out the exhaust again. I thought there was just oil still in the exhaust but i took it off and cleaned the turbo real good again, Noticed with the exhaust off oil was seeping out of the hot side with the car on. Took the drain off to make sure it wasnt that and drained it directly into the bucket and the flow is fine with good pressure.
Oil Still leaks out exhaust side with the drain flowing directly into bucket no clogs nothing.. Ive never had this problem before, previously it was fine. Zero Smoke. Never had a restrictor in the feed line. -3 feed -12 drain with a wolfe drain bung

Try putting a restrictor and see if that would help any, if that doesn't work, then they obviously did something wrong. I don't know why guys still buy their way overpriced products when you hear stories of their terrible customer service whenever there's an issue with their stuff, seems like it's automatically your fault no matter what. Go with Turbonetics, comes with 1 year no hassle, no question ask and no blame the customer warranty.

heres the thing i cant under stand. with my exhaust off and my hot side turbine exposed. I start the car without the 3' -12 drain hose on and it and let it drip from the wolfe bung into the bucket and it doesnt drip oil in the fins or the exhaust side causing NO smoke. but when i put the 3' drain hose on and drain it in a bucket, oil starts to spit out the exhaust turbine and cause smoke................... ???

Could you post a pic of your drain system? The reason I'm saying that you should atleast try putting a restrictor is that you DON'T need 60psi of pressure to supply oil into your turbo, and another thing is that there might be a variance in tolerance when it comes to turbo seal and you might just have one that is a bit loose especialy when there's 60psi of oil spraying close to it. I was fighting the same problem with mine, the drain system worked fine with my previous twin set-up, but apparently not good enough with the newest-up. I was just about ready to send it back to Turbonetics which they already gave me an RMA order number for warranty work, but I decided to redo the whole drain system and sure enough it fixed the problem. Anyway, I wish you luck and I hope you get it figured out.
