Project Land Whale (Silverado Turbo Build)
#34
Been a bit since my last update. A friend and I plastidipped my wheels after I got the new tires mounted. I got new lug nuts today and painted them to match as well. I need to get the truck cleaned up and get some new photos, but I have 2" lowering shackles I want to get in first. Here a shitty picture for now:
I am going to finish ordering parts for the 4L80E swap this week as well. I plan to have it in by the weekend of June 15th as a few local guys are planning on going to the track.

Way behind in posts guys, sorry. I got the vast majority of remaining parts for the trans swap in.
Since it will be visible when mounted I painted the cooler with a light coat of flat black.
I also stripped my wastegate and turbo down and have them prepped and plan to make time the powder coat them this weekend. I also received my blow off valve and plan to coat that to match as well. Pictures of all of that is to come.

Really nice build! In for updates.
Couple of things.....
-Who does your powder coating?
-Thanks for the tip/idea of the 4L80e on an engine stand. I see places selling those trans holding fixtures to have it hang from a bench going for $180. Harbor Freight sells an engine stand for like $60.
-You mentioned some wheel you used to clean/scuff the trans. Do you have a picture of it?
