Awesome build, great read, I plan to do the same with my car here shortly, I'm installing a 4l80 now, and have all the parts for my turbo build, I'll be coping this pretty much to the letter!! What did you end up with on the turbo oil drain setup? I know you had said the timing cover didn't work out, I'm just curious on what you came up with.
Thanks for sharing, it's an awesome build!!

Thanks man. On the turbo drain. The driver side worked in the timing cover. It was tight but I got it to work. The passenger side I had to end up pulling the pan and putting one in the side.
Im ordering my RPM 4L80e level 5 tomorrow. I should be able to drive the car to break the rings in by the end of Feb. Im right on track for an early april tune date .

thank you! Never fabricated before. Luckily I had a buddy whos a decent welder fabricator to give me a hand. Neither of us have built a turbo kit before. We just kind of winged it lol
Thanks! hopefully this 390 makes some steam

Got the hood and front end back on. its starting to look like a car again! Made my transmission order yesterday. only a couple more months until its driveable! Hopefully i dont run into any major issues...or any for that matter. i hate hurdles..
Also, i got some supplies from lowes to boost leak my injector ports in the intake along with the cold side just to rule boost leaks out now.

sorry for the lack of updates here lately. its been super cold and ive been sick off and on. even with a heater in the garage, it gets cold really quick when i turn the heater off. I got most of the drivers side front suspension on. I have the passenger side to do yet. I should have the 80e in a few weeks, and the converter here early February. Goal is to at least drive it around for 20 mins late February.

sorry. ive been lazy here lately. haha. i got the drivers side Suspension on, i have the passenger side to do yet. I go pick up my RPM Level 5 4L80e on Friday and ordering my converter in a couple weeks.. it should be in the car by the end of February along with the boost controller and a few other things i need to get. its all nickle and dime **** now. A buddy of mine came "out of retirement" from tuning, and he specializes in LS E85 fed vehicles, so hes hooking me up with a tune. Were gonna start street tuning early march, weather permitting and finish the WOT tuning on the Dyno. its getting very very close! The updates should start rolling in here soon. just havent had a ton to do since ive been waiting on a transmission.

The car should be driveable at teh end of February weather permitting! Ill have some pics of all my new goodies soon

Fantastic build. Just read through the whole thread, and I've decided I need to make a trip up from Greensburg to see this beast. Maybe one weekend while I'm up at Grissom for autocross we can meet up. The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to see if you can tidy up all the SS lines running on top of the motor, especially the steam vent lines. I just feel like they don't fit right. Apart from that, top notch.
