Gonna guess just regular pump gas. The motor came out of an 03 Yukon with 70000 on it. Supposedly a lifter went out on it so the guy took it apart and then I got and wanted to rebuild it for a turbo. I figured with it already tore down I would learn a lot during the rebuild process. But keep running into little problems like the two bad pistons.

Looks like something made it's way into the chamber. I'd run some 200 grit sandpaper over the pits and then slap them back in. Looks good to me!

Was there any marks on the head? That looks like metal on metal contact.

No. Heads look fine. I would love to just use the piston but can barely afford to build this thing once let alone twice. And is it normal for the ball on the top or bottom of the pushrods to be bent a little bit?

MustangLS and anyone else who was interested, those pistons and rods appear to have to wrist pins a little seized up. Pistons and rods appear fine, but seems some corrosion set in from not being in a climate controlled environment with not enough oil on them. If anyone wants them, they are yours, but I would hate to ship them out not knowing if that would work for you.
