I found it for sale on the corvette forum, and he's asking $72K for it 'as-is'. I wonder if that includes the grenade about to go off.

Because people are giving them criticism I guess. Who knows, the guy might have put 87 octane gas in it and thought it was ok.

 

Hey all,
I'm the guy who posted the video and took it down. Is Still up, I just meant to make it private so I could send it to DP for advice.
The car is not mine, I have a 2013 sti but I wish it was .

Anyways the car started making this noise halfway through filming. We though at first it was the 2.5" exhaust but today it turns out it was a crappy spark plug. I actually found this thread looking for potential answers!
The new video will be back up in a day or so once I've recorded new footage where it doesn't sound like a machine gun.

If anyone really wants to hear the popping sound I can upload an out take video lol. Doesn't sound good though!

Anyways if anyone in Texas has a cool car they want a video made for let me know!

 

I hope you realize that no one was trying to bash. The car is badass, but something just isn't right with it. Tell whoever's car it is to not drive it like that or else bad things will happen. That's the sound of detonation.

The car runs fine now. One of the spark plugs was totally jacked up. Everything else is apparently fine after a good inspection this morning.

I just have to re film the shots that were iffy now!

 

You all didn't happen to be in Austin on 620 this past Saturday? I could of sworn this exact Vette was next to me. There we two Subbies behind it as well. If I remember, a blue and black one. Really is a bad *** Vette.

 

we just wanted the car to be ok. I posted it, some people agreed, I mentioned it on the video because id hate for someone to spend the time and money to get it going and grenade the thing in a day. We have to assume that some people may not have as much knowledge as they should about there own boosted setups and try to be good samaritans and say hey, get her checked out before she checks out if you know what i mean.

 

Great work on the video. If I bring my car to Texas again soon i'll hit you up. If you're ever in the New Orleans area let me know. Plenty of cars to film.

Yep, that was us. I use the other cars as chase cams (Although nothing can keep up with the vette they still try )

I understand too, I have posted in threads like this before too. Since I have a 2005 and now 2013 STi, its even worse with subarus. Kids bold stuff on without thinking.
My good friend Toryn owns this car. Its an absolute monster and very very well looked after. Even down to him having seat covers on since the day he owned it lol. The car runs amazing besides this little blip. We are just glad it was something simple like a plug that was blown out.

I am currently finishing up this video, and also a Yellow SLS black edition that I shot a while back. I then have a guy with an Enzo who wants a video, just need to finalize that and then ill be free. I may entertain a road trip to shoot some stuff in the future.

 

Posted a newer revision after getting new footage of fly byes without the popping now its got new plugs. I left a little of the old footage in there since I dont have time to replace it now!
