If you're gonna stay with 346ci, the Vortech V9 is fine. If you're gonna bore/stroke, go with the T-trim.
Since Vortech doesn't sell a T-Trim "kit" for the LS1, you might as play with the G-trim kit until the warranty runs out, then trade up the head unit.

I'm running a 348. Forged pistons, stock rods and rebalanced crank with racing bearings.Stock 98 ls1 cam, ported 98 ls1 heads. Modified mac headers.
Nothing about my G-trim system is stock Vortech kit, except the head unit and Drive system.

What kind of power are you making? I have a smaller pulley that was given to me that will put out 14lbs. So that's what the guy told me. He had it on his V9. Its on the charger now. I dont know what size it is. There are no #'s on it to say what size it is. Were can I get a 2.5 pulley and the belt?

Going with the G-trim on that motor is a mistake. You might get the 600rwhp. But you would get a significant amount of boost way earlier and not have be way overspinning the unit. I can tell you first hand having had the unit on a 346 and 382 and also a brief time on the 418. You need either the ATI (I see a member just put one in the 9's @140) Or a T or better. The G flows in the 800cfm range, the T is 1250 and the ATI I think is 1450. You can buy the T as a kit from a custom supplier. Make sure you get at least the race bypass valve kit option with the larger vent tube or it will surge when letting off the gas. If you are ever near Cincy I'll let you drive the car and see the boost gauge to compare to a G. Nothing against the guys who have gotten nice power from the G but if your starting new I'm just trying tp help you avoid something I'm sure you would regret.

If you already own a V9 kit I would install it. To run a topmounted T Trim you will need a custom head unit bracket and of course the blower. I'm not sure you can trade the V9 in towards a T Trim, maybe email jsnee@vortechsuperchargers.com to see.

Thanks, it cant kill to ask. PSJ, how much are the brackets for the T-trim and the YS? See there is a guy from my home town that I would like to see get his *** hand'ed. He claims to have 690rwhp with a T-trim with 14lbs on a 348 with forged pistions and rods and LPE stage 2 heads,237dur cam at 112, 50lbs inj. and all the boltons with an LS1 intake. He does not have much of suspension. 12bolt, control arms, subframes and a 6 speed. I have to run this guy down thinking his the hot **** of the town. IF you guy's have any idea's that would be great. Thanks.

-690rwhp is well within the advertised power output of a T Trim... Which is 825fwhp
-I think the advertised output of a V9 is 600fwhp but probably 650rwhp is the max with some overspinning

Thanks guys for all your help. My friend, the owner of HPE said they can get the AFR heads to flow 380cfm intake and 275 ex. I cant say what he is going to charge me for those heads but Iam getting a hell of a deal! So with those heads and a good intake I should see some good power. What do you all think?

I run Eagle H beam rods and make 900 at the crank.
I doubt anyone will get 380cfm from AFR heads but I look forward to seeing the flow numbers.
Listen, if you want to build a 600rwhp car run the V9, a 9:1 bottom end, a moderate cam and a moderate set of heads. But run good head studs.
