Default advice and help needed!

looking to build a procharged ls1 with around 550rwhp. on stock bottom end. 6 speed.

ok so ive been searching around the forums and reading alot of posts. from what ive gathered so far is i need more then just a procharger kit to get what i want saftely. im still learning alot about the boost world. i have my H,C,I, car but i want more power and still drive good on the street. lol

this is what ive come up with so far. if anything is wrong or im missing something please tell me.

stock ls1 bottom end
ls6 cam and 918 springs
ls6 intake
high pressure oil pump and ls2 chain
ls7 lifters and pushrods
317 heads (cleaned and smoothed. was told MLS gaskets will wordk?)
TSP 1 7/8 headers and ORY into magnaflow CB.
procharger D1 unit (not sure on what PSI i will need. wanna stay low as possible)
FMIC our dual IC ??? (not sure)
60ibs injectors?? (do i need bigger)
255 fuel pump??? (not sure on what i need here)
possible meth injection with battery relocation to trunk for tank room.

also to go with the car a monster 3 clutch and 9in rearend with 3.70 gear

so what looks good and what am i missing? any and all advice is welcome please.

Looks pretty good so far. The 255 pump isnt gonna make it at that power level though. 60s should be fine and if you do meth thatll help with the injector duty cycle as well as with IATs.

What heads, cam and intake are you running now? Do you plan on pushing the combo further in the future ?

I would go with a front mount cooler, dual in tank fuel pumps, and I would not go any higher than the stock 3.42 gears with a 6 speed on the street.

Also are you buying a new procharger or used?

Why not run the cam and intake you have and swap the 5.3l heads for some 317's with a good dual spring.

Take a look at my complete ProCharger kit, many options are available at the bottom of the page. Send me an e-mail to brutespeed@gmail.com if you want to see a copy of the installation instructions. Thanks. Bob

It wont be ideal but its not gonna make a big enough difference to swap out IMO. UIt wont be until you really turn it up(once you do a built motor) that you will start to notice the effect of the cam.

X2

Not ideal but it will make more power than a ls6, if your going to go through with buying and installing a cam put a buy a blower specific cam.
