Default HP Performance Turbo

I was wondering if anyone knows when this kit is going to come out or if they have heard any further details about it?

The Vette kit is in testing as we speak, the F-body kit is weeks away yet.

Buffhomer,
Can you give an estimated date when the f-body kit will be out, type of head unit it will contain and other details(if all inclusive), and approximate cost?

Thanks for your earlier response and to any of the above questions .

Regards, Ray.

I'm looking forward to seeing their vette kit. I hope they keep their prices reasonable like their other kits for mustangs and such.

There is no set timeframe for the F-body kit, and I don't wanna say anything and get jumped on later. I'd give it at least another full month. Pricing should be somewhere around the $5k range. Don't take that as gospel just yet.

The Vette kit is a beast tho.

buffhomer you know nothing!

TSP will be offering both the HPPerf. C5 and Fbody kits when they are both released. I helped a little on the first C5 kit, and we had the first C5 car here for some tuning last week, still a few small things to finish up, but overall its gonna do real well. The C5 is a twin 46mm kit, and the F-body will be a single, either T60 or T66 like the 5.0L kit. I bought a 5.0L Mustang just to buy their 5.0L kit after seeing how they perform.

If TSP is backing the C5 kit sounds like its got to be some quality stuff. I was thinking about going H/C over the summer but I think i'll wait for the HPP C5 kit to be released and i might be TT sometime next fall/winter if released before then

I also like the way those HP Performance badges look if i do buy their turbo kit i'd like to get two of them and put them on my coupe Z06 fender badge style.

Question

Any updates on this kit? Comparisons to Phamspeed and PTK regarding:

1) AC retention, component relocation (e.g. alternator)
2) Intercooling options
3) Availability (i.e. here's another great kit that you'll have to wait 3+ months for...)

Thanks for any info,

Rich

They are having some serious issues with the vette kit and a few people are really pissed about delivery date on turbo mustangs.

http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/...threadid=36863

There also used to be a big post on LS1.com on an Exotic performance plus customer car, but I guess they pulled them. EPP definalty went way out of their way to help.

Just do all the research you can before you buy for them.

later,
Dave

BUYER BEWARE!!!! We had a customer that had purchased the kit for the C5 Corvette last summer. He brought the car to us in December to have it installed. The kit was still missing numerous parts when it arrived in December. We have had numerous hours on the phone and email with HP trying to receive the parts. We ended up fabricating most of them our selfs!! We finished up with our parts 2 weeks ago. They are now advertising these kits on ebay, delivery date will be 30 days,( per Tom via email from ebay). It took our customer almost a year to get his. There is also a gentlemen in Chicago with the same kit, that called us for the parts to finish the HP kits. Definetly do not give them any money unless you are sure you want to wait a year. We also ordered a Grand-Am kit in January that they could not produce. We just finally received the money back this week for that kit!

Hi Missz06, Are you installing this yourself? If so just a heads up, they do not send directions to install it. Luckily our guys were real familiar with installing turbos. Let me know what pieces you are still missing and I will see what I can do for you. We had numerous hours fabricating the HP kit. I hope you have not had as much trouble with them as we have. You can email me at holly@exoticperformanceplus.com or call me at 260-483-9300.

what up holly, I can second that the HP turbo system has missing parts, and their customer service sucks. I wouldn't expect anything soon out of these guys it seems like they are dragging their feet. their mustang kits are very good, so if they do put together a complete kit it should be good, but it has to be complete. and don't buy one if you see it on ebay for sale as it probably won't be a complete kit.

I talked to tom back in 02' when they were wanting a test car with my 02' 1le car, thing was I couldnt leave the car with them for that long. The time frame was unknown.

Same with my 03' cobra, it was supposed to be a muscle mustangs and fast ford's cover car and a big advertisement for them(hp) but yet they wanted me to pay them 8k and be without my car for two months. I thought that was a little high on price.

I just had a buddy of mine make me a kit, go to metalmanfab.com. You will see the pics of the ls1 headers, intercooler ect. Funny thing is his kit doesnt not require to delete anything, only move the alt and tensioner around.

I'm not talking trash, just saying I couldnt wait that long.
