Default Procharger d1sc advise

Im new to the world of Ls engines however not new to drag racing boosted cars. Im mostly a turbo v6 guy Buicks and Typhoons or Syclones. I Just bought a 2000 TA that was built by Cartek in 2006. Its been garaged for 6 years and i just picked it up. My question is i took it to get the tune looked at to make sure its safe. Power House performance in NJ Dyno'd it and checked the tune. It made on there Mustang Dyno.
594hp
541tq

I was a bit disappointed!! the tune was close to spot on. It only picked up 20hp with the adjustment they made. This was done on pump gas 93. I was thinking it should of made more. 16* of timing afrs where 11.7.

Does this seem inline with the mods.

Build as i can tell or was told from previous owner.
Speed inc 347 forged internals stock crank 9:1
Procharger D1sc 14.8 psi 8 rib 7.65CP 3.55BP
Griffin AtA intercooler rad support moved forward.
Cartek 243 4XB heads
Cartek Blower cam Specs ???
Ls6 ported intake
Fast Billet TBody
Hooker headers 1 7/8
Custom true dual 3" exhaust kooks bullet mufflers
Twin Walbro pumps tank is sumped
#84 injector with a driver I was told 75% duty cycle from dyno shop.
tuned with Hp tuners.
moser 12 bolt 373s
RPM 4L60e stage 6
3000 Stall Vigilante

Any Advise be Appreciated

I was thinking the belts were slipping, but it didn't seem to look like that on the dyno graph. boost climbed smooth to 14.8 6300 rpm.
I have a 3.40 blower pulley I can try swapping off the 3.55. That might pick it up a bit. Car feels pretty fast I guess ill have to run it at the track and see what it will do.
Anybody have of know were I can get a larger crank pulley 8"
id like to try and max out he blower with a 3.40 and 8" pulleys on e85.

your going to over spin it and create alot of heat and put it out of its efficiency range. id swap to a set of 317 truck heads and leave the pulleys along. if your not running a tensioner on the bracket then its time to anti up and get one with that kind of boost. you can check pre and post intercooler to see if there is a restriction and do a boost leak check. get a cutout so your not trying to push all that air out of a full exhaust.

14-16# is about where i would expect it to land. I would really only start worrying about it after I got a few time slips. right now your not sure what you have....also its probably hotter than ***** where you are and FI cars love cooler temps such as in the fall when traction is still semi present and ambient temps are down.

Put it on a dynojet, mustang dynos are not good for high numbers, it will prolly make around 675 on a dynojet. I bet it will fly at the track!!

This. All dynos read different. They are a tuning tool not a measure of how fast your car is

The 9:1 compression might be hurting you a little as well. Put on the 3.4" pulley and see what it does. Only downside to that is you're already at ~15psi of boost, to get more, you would have to step up to a 3-bar program and map sensor. Most of the higher hp procharger builds that I've seen are using higher compression ratios, typically above 10.0:1.

If it really matters, you could consider changing the heads to bump compression, but honestly, ~600 rwhp should be quite fun and run great at the track. Plenty for a low 10 second pass.

The car did come with some time slips from october 2006. Atco Raceway My local track. a few mid 10 sec passes. Best was 10.21@130 60 was a 1.49. Id like to step it up to a 9 sec pass. The weather in nj has sucked, might not be until friday that i get it to the track. Even then the air is crap compared to the fall.
It has Carteks 243 heads fully ported im not sure what they flow com-paired to the 317 heads but they have to be good enough for 700 hp. Or am i dreaming.

Not bad numbers for a Mustang dyno. Ive talked with the tuner a few times and he said his is dyno reads about 16% less than a dyno jet. That will put you around 689hp 627tq. on a dyno jet.

There is about to be video up on here of a member who has a d1 on stock internals ls1 and stock heads and cam. I say add the crank pulley remote water pump because the belt will hit the stock pump and crank that boost up. Don't want to spoil what it ran but it's really impressive and backed up w time slip and video. One op for what it's worth his car was tuned on a mustang dyno and read lower numbers like yours is. Dnt worry about the numbers as others have mentioned.

you need a timeout.

3.4" blower and 8" crank pulleys get done a lot on Corvettes.
