Tick Stage 2 Turbo Cam (Video)
Well I just got done installing my Tick Performance Stage 2 Turbo cam package and Brain Tooley valvesprings from Martin over at Tick. First let me say big thanks to Martin for making my choice so easy in finding the perfect cam for my setup. I made the video so everyone could see the sound and idle quality of this cam. It has a bit more overlap than i thought it was going to but thats a good thing. The video does it no justice, it sounds amazing. This is with TSP longtubes, TSP 3in catted Y-Pipe, and SLP Catback. Will be adding a turbonectics T-Series T7875 from Jon @ Huron Speed shortly to complement the cam.
Cam Specs:
235/231 .610/.598 114+5 LSA

I slightly remember speaking with you over the phone now that you mention it. I'm glad you went with the LS1/LS6 Stage 2 cam as it works perfectly with your size engine and turbo.
I have a customer with the LS1/LS6 Stage 2 cam that makes 800rwhp "easily" (as the owner put it) on a dyno dynamics chassis dyno with a 5.3 and a S476 Borg Warner. It's been 5's in the 1/8th mile as well. 800rwhp on a DD chassis dyno is easily 900rwhp+ on a Dyno Jet.

Remember he has the smaller 230/231 .609"/.598" 115+5 cam not your LS2 Stage 2 turbo cam.

So Im about to get my car back up and running, and just still in a debate on what cam to go with. The car will be turbo by next year, but Id like it to still make some good power in the mean time. If I go with the Stage 2 LS2 turbo cam over the torquemax stage 3, will the car still make decent power N/A? On the other hand, how much will I be loosing from the additional overlap of the torquemax if I run it with a turbo down the road?

Idle in the video is set at 800, but I am still playing with the idle to get it just right.
When i spoke with Martin over the phone, i told him my setup (stock ls1, street car, stalled auto, 7875 turbo) he recommended that i get this cam, the Stage 2 LS2 cam. I didn't know the difference between the LS1/LS6 and the LS2 cam at the time so I'm hoping this is the better choice cam for my setup?? Any info Martin?
