Dean Goodin's Real Street 275 turbo kit: By Tick Performance
#24
Alright guys, just what you've been waiting for...updates! I will say that this is our first turbo kit we've ever fabricated here at Tick Performance. We're not experts or battle hardened turbo kit builders so there are probably a few slight imperfections, or routing that could of been designed in an engineer style fashion, but this build is all about going fast first and looks second.
That said, I think it looks pretty damn good myself.

Nice looking build! I've been wanting to see some more turbo cars in RealStreet.
Looks like you're gonna have enough room to turn it back under the car. The exhaust must exit under the car away from the driver. So you should be able to dump it under the car without much issue. Also don't rely on that meth too much because it isn't legal in LSX RS.

I guess since LSX RS has those rules we won't be attending. Unfortunately it just doesn't make much sense to build a car to a rule set that we have to travel 1000+ miles for one way that doesn't fit the rules we travel 10-60 miles to race in for the same amount of money.
Not to mention we have 10-16 cars that show up for each race and not 4-8 like it seems the LSX RS class has normally. It sucks because we'd like to come race in some of the LSX series races, but it just doesn't make sense to go out of our way to fit a set of rules for that series.

We're building the car to run in RS275 locally, not for the LSX series. We have a local Real Street class that's been in existence since 2009-2010 which we've raced in with our shop for nearly 3 years now.

I completely understand. I seen everyone mentioning the LSX rules so I thought I may have overlooked somethere that you were looking to race in the LSX stuff. I wish we had some real racing around here. Kil-Kare dragway in Ohio is doing some really cool stuff. But our racing program is still in it's infancy, so we still have a lot to learn before we get too heavy into it.
That is one huge plus about living here in NC. We have 6 1/8th mile drag strips that all know how to prep well for radials within a 120-150 mile radius.
The local tracks we race on have 275 track records in the 4.50's which is just about as fast as they are going on the "killer" tracks on 275's like MIR, SGMP, Holley Springs, Cecil etc. etc. etc.
We have it very lucky here in NC in terms of heads up radial racing that is for sure.
What's the fastest you guys have been so far with the Vette in RS?
