Exactly. Depending on what the op is doing with it, it could last a while there is a 1/8th mile car local owned by BADBOB that survived over 3 years making more than the OP on a stock internaled LS1 in a fox body, car broke a lot of hearts down here while doing it. Car was driven on the street too so it wasnt all track time either.

Doesn't the LQ9 have LS2 internals ?? And along with the iron block is should up even better.

Yep, all LQ9's came with floating rods from what I've seen, regardless of year.

The rear gear is 3:27 it's a 8.8 in a fc rx7.

I'm tired of reading stupid posts like urs Do some Damn research before u post. q9s no matter what year come with ls2 style rods. Lq4s from 99-04 have ls1 rods all 05+ have ls2 style rods.
