Default Guys with progressive meth & boost controllers, where are you mounting them?

So I'm in the market for a Meth kit and a more serious boost controller. Ill probably go with an alky control kit and some thing like an ams 500/1000 or boost leash.

So Il have 2 more things that I need in the cabin to make changes easily. Where do I mount these things in an f body?

Id like it to be within arms reach. Especially the boost controller as I may need to make changes quickly.

its seem like a better methanol system than the alky control. it comes with a flow guage, and the nozzles act more like an injector for better atomizatio. Check it out.

AquaMist HFS-3

Its also all plug and play. Pretty nice setup

I don't know if you still have HVAC and a radio, but if you don't there's tons of room. My meth setup is from Cooling Mist and my boost controller is a Turbosmart eBoost Street.

I used an Eboost 2 in the drivers left TA ac vent and mounted my Alky Control control unit under the front dash below the steering wheel...over kind of where the hood latch is at. I just used some velcro patches to fix it to the underside of the plastic. It's easy to access for the progressive dial and also to hit the test button to make sure the pump and system are working prior to a hit. I put the System Active light and the Low Level sensor light in the head light control panel. Looks clean to me. I'll grab some pics at lunch and put them up for you.

I like the devils own controller and kit. It's much smaller than most of the others. Worked great for years. I've had 3 kits total now. One controller failure in 6 years or so and devils own guys sent me a replacement.

Small enough I put it in an ashtray on one of my builds.

Dash mounted with velcro.

Glove boxes work pretty nice for stealth setups too.

I like that glove compartment setup...trick indeed

Here's what I was mentioning earlier..under the dash with velcro. Out of sight but you know where it's at and can access it easily.

Here's the signal lights too for activation and low meth level.

I like that under the dash. I should rename the thread to say cars with hvac and radio only, lol. So much easier with out that stuff.

Went with the boost leash and alky control. Im still not sure where to put these things. The boost leash fit where the ashtray is but in park the shifter covers the buttons. I was going to put both in the center console but I rather not. Any other ideas aside from people with no radio or hvac.

Once you tune the meth, you shouldn't need to play with the alky controller so you can put it somewhere out of the way. Mine is in the glovebox and the only time I need to get to it is to use the test button before I make a run at the track.

The meth controller im not too worried about, il either put it there or under the driver dash. Im going to see if there is any way to fit a square in a round hole. Maybe i can fit the boost leash in an ac vent and make a bezel or in the triple gauge pod. Not at home now so I can't measure

Whats the point of mounting the methanol controller in the cabin? If you adjust it you will have to retune if you are injecting any amount of methanol, otherwise your fueling will be off. Is it just for the LED's indicating it's on?

I put my controller under the hood in a safe place, and have two LED's inside, one two indicate that the controller is powered, and another to indicate when the pump is on.

The point is that you tune with a computer in the car. It would be a pain to have to pop the hood to make a little tweak. Alky control states the controller must be in the cabin also.

Glove box here, main unit buried in the passenger kick panel.

Not sure if I should mess with the controller setting also. If I increase, then the tune will be off however, on the Alky Control site it describes it as a fine tuner for adjustability ie: "hot day, turn it up". Doesn't make sense to me. I've got it set & forget. Anybody with experience on this ?

Doesn't the eBoost2 have a progressive meth controller in it as well?

I went with the boost leash over the eboost2 because turbo smart did not design the controller to work with co2. I need to be able to launch on 3psi and ramp it all the way to 22 psi.
