Default 04 ls6 cam for lq4 turbo?

Found a good deal on a ls6 cam is it worth putting in my lq4 with a gt45 turbo? Custom grinds are nice but this is only 150 bucks

Id rather go with a LS9 cam over that LS6 cam, but hey, its not a bad choice for boost. I guess you could do it then save up for a custom grind?

New findings are proving the ls9 cam to not be as good as everyone thought.

Really depends on your setup.

Are you gonna run stock heads?

How about a speed inc tu1 cam? Found a deal on one here's the specs , Audible chop at idle while retaining nice driveability. 900+rwhp capable, power to approx 7000rpm. PAC1519 will work with this cam but we recommend dual springs in most boosted applications. We offer several dual spring kits (available separately). Lift is .581/.581, Duration @.050 is 225/225, and is on a 113LSA.

I have a ls6 cam in my lq4, made 540whp on a loaded dyno on 14lbs. The driveability is awesome. Idles with 18" vacuum.

It would be nice if someone would make a "used cam" sticky.... Their are good number of cams that are bigger than stock but have no overlap or only a few degrees. Obviously the events wont be ideal but it is a budget make it work thing. Didnt someone make a 224 cam that had zero overlap? Just thinking outloud I guess, I realize more to it than duration and overlap.
On a side note, doesnt the gt45 have a big ex wheel? Would a reverse split work better in that situation?

I'm sticking with stock lq9 cam (NOT ls9) until I get comfortable tuning and then I'll throw a aftermarket one in one I turn up the boost

Personally talked to a few guys here that made the jump from the LS6 to the LS9 cam and they all said the car was a whole new animal...Plus you can get a new LS9 for almost half the price of a used LS6. Ever since these LS6's became popular with turbos some of these guys think there selling gold lol.
