It looks pretty close with my 5in hood on. Depends on how low it sits in the engine bay. What style heads do you have.

TFS235's. Motor sits pretty low. The pan ALMOST sits on the rack.

Hood is supposed to be a 4" bolt on but on the bottom it had 5" written on it from VFN?

Looks like it sits pretty low. I think if you can make sure its under the cowl you should be ok.

Went out last night to get my Nhra license and the car is slowly improving. Had a 1.32 60ft leaving on no boost this pass (track was cold and was afraid to spin since they were about to close down) Ended up with a 9.52@143. Still messing with timing and I found out in Indy this thing needs to go on a diet. (3550lb) Facebook vid- https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

Yea what I thought was a decent amount. Iron block, stock brakes, stock spindles, and stock glass, power windows are all things im trying to lose this winter.

Keep the power windows... Seriously... My friend Chris always complains about not having power windows in his 275 car, and he is putting them back in the winter

Well took the car to MIR but got screwed with getting some runs. Was only able to make 2 passes due to rain and all the oil downs.
First pass went a 9.35@150

Second pass in elims was a 9.29@144

I think I could have put the car in the 8s with a couple more runs down there but 2 is all I got all weekend and they were both on Sunday.(Last day) Going to be putting this thing on a diet this winter and see about destroking the engine to use this turbo to its full potential.

The angle off the turbo to the intercooler was a weird one. He did a pie cut. Going to probably have to re-do all the charge pipes as I might be getting a new turbo cover and intercooler.

Pulled the engine and sold the shortblock. New shortblock being built. Hope to have some updates here soon.

I seen this car at Cavalcade and noticed the x235 sticker. I didn't know there was a such class local to me. I might prep my Nova and come do some racing. Would be great to drive the car there on a 100% street setup and embarrass the shop built trailer queens. Just messin'.

Good luck to you in the coming year. I tried to stop and talk to you at Cavalcade but you were busy. My girlfriend grew up in Trenton and recognized you, I think she said she went to school with your sister. I'll probably stop at Kilkare and see a few races this year.

Good meeting you over the weekend. You have a strong running car, you just gotta get a handle on the wheelie machine. FYI I tune the black TA.
