Real street turbo build. "Silverback Gorilla"
Well this build is actually almost complete hoping to have it out at Ls fest this year maybe on it first actual pass or atleast ready for Indy. Car is also being setup to race a local limited 8.5 class we have here in the Cincy/Dayton area.
This car last year went a 9.64@141 with a built t56, Monster stage 4, and a MWC 9in putting the power down. Engine was a 408ci with 11.1comp on a 225 shot with a nitrous outlet spray bar plumbed into a super vic.
Decided to change it up a little since I have always wanted a turbo car.
Specs on this build-
408ci solid roller built by All in racing
Trick flow 245 heads (Cathedral port due to 8.5 class rules)
Custom spec solid roller cam from Lil john
Holley Hi ram intake
NW 102 throttle body
Billet atomizers 160# injectors
Complete hot side bought from Kool Rayz silver trans am.
Tial 60mm wastegate
Tial 50mm Bov
Borg warner s476 with a 1.58 a/r (cast wheel due to 8.5 rules)
Pt1000 A2W intercooler
Built Th400 from TNT
Ultimate Converter
Magnafuel 750 pump
Holley Dominator efi
Here is what I started with earlier in the year
Also did some weight reduction this year since the car still had the stock gas tank and all the evap crap.
Burkhart chassis parachute mount
Borg warner s476
Engine bay shot
Th400
Currently the car is with my fab guy getting the radiator/intercooler mounted and making the rest of the cold pipes and the 5in down pipe for the turbo. Should have it back this week with some updated pics.
I know my cubic inch is excessive for this little 76mm but it should run good for the local races being they only run 1/8 mile. We will see how it does in the lsx stuff. Next year I do plan on buying an 88mm x275 turbo just to make some power and run some local grudge racing events.

Actually I will be on something like c16 or some renegade fuel because the lsx classes do not allow ethonal fuel. Dont feel like changing the tune up back and forth for both classes.

The guys in real street are flying right now. I know this thing will not be a top contender with a cast wheel and at the weight its at this year. Just want to go out and have some fun. The reason behind the bigger a/r is to help fight back pressure being that my engine is a 408ci. I really need to be down around 370ci to make this little turbo work for me.
