Just an update. Got the trans installed today and finished up the fuel system completely. Will be finishing the boring stuff like wiring and setting up the top end this week. If all goes well should be able to fire it up next weekend.

Well not started up yet hit a couple bumps in the road but pushing foward still. Plan is to still make ls fest for the real street class. Only problem is that it may be on its first pass out there. Some updated pics.

Well after getting some issues fixed I was able to take the car out for some testing last friday on low boost( About 10-12psi). Only tried for the 1/4 once and it broke up when I went into third so I let out and coasted to a 10.6@100.

Here is a vid that my buddy took. Its linked to fb so I hope it works.

This was only the third pass for the car on the new setup. Taking it to Indy for the shootout and going to turn the boost up to 17-18psi and see what happens.

Took it out there and was just fighting one problem after another. Alternator died the first day then we were burning up cyl 2 wire and cyl 6. Once all that got fixed we were still trying to figure out the tune. Finally got it working some when going into eliminations but still needs more tweaking on the tune up. 9.8@140 and the damn trans cooler fitting broke off during the run and the trans lost fluid. Not sure how it could have broke the way it did.

Did you have to do anything special to get the Hi Ram to fit? Im thinking of ditching my Super Vic for one. What hood do you have?

Had to cut the cowl and lower the entire k member because I have cathedral port heads. I guess if you have ls3 style heads the intake is shorter and will fit fine. Its a vfn 5 in sloped hood.

I have motor plates and the engine sits lower in the bay. Hopefully this fits without too much work. I have a 4" Vfn sloped hood. I know ill have to trim but dont want it going through the hood. You think ill be ok?
