4.8 supra swap wanting insite on twin turbo's
ok so i have just finished my 4.8L swap on my supra with a 4l60e with low miles
the current setup is as follows:
01 4.8 ls1 intake
-8 fuel rails with -6 feed line from tank
walbro 400
42lbs injectors
running e85
hooker cts-v manifolds
862 heads(may install some 806 97-99
whats better for tuning map sensor or AFM?
looking to use internal wastegated turbos what size should be good for 5-600rwhp(doubt trans will hold up for long lol)?
what size injectors should i run 60lbs or 80lbs?
should feed line be upgraded to atleast a -8?
will the walbro intank pump be ok for this demand?

The walbro 400 isn't rated for ethanol. We ran them when they first came out and had all kinds of issues with pump failures. (not that some don't get away with it for awhile too) I'd switch out to the 450 series walbro pump rated for ethanol.
-6 is fine, just need a decent amount of pressure. I'd go with 2 450walbros in tank. Base pressure around 60-65.
Buy injectors as big as you can the first time around. No sense in doing it twice.
IMO, Map sensors easier to get dialed in for a race car/toy. MAF is better for a daily driver.
The cheapo 54mm ebay units work great. Proven to 700whp on a bone stock 5.3.
4L60E can be built to handle power, but it's more cost effective to grab a 4l80e if you want to keep the OD trans. Throw a shift kit and billet circle D 3000 converter in it.
For your desired power level I don't think E85 is really necessary. Just keep timing down in the 12* range and run some methanol injection for a safety buffer. Then you could get away with your current 400 intank pump and -6 fuel lines at normal pressures.

as far as the turbo's go...they will be mounted in the inner fender well in the engine bay
want some that are internally wastegated and good for 500-600hp
only possible way of making them work from what i can tell will be hood exit exhaust unfortunately

42's are to small for 600hp on a turbo pump gas setup. Need 50's minimum. Like I said buy injectors and buy them once. Go with the 80's.

Single is always easier. I'd steer clear of sump pumps. no such thing as a "cheap good" pump. And they are all loud.
Looks a little cramped in that engine bay! At minimum I think you'd have to cut out some of that inner fender. A good cam and heads would make 550hp or so and be much easier!

the room isnt to bad
most cramped area is between the radiator and ls1 water pump
for injectors i would just go with seimens 60's ev1's and sell my 42's
im stuck between what to do
when i first did the swap i wanted to do a turbo setup using a gt45
well room was the issue on where to mount the turbo and i dont want to run the scavenge pump
now the car has been running and driving for a week i want more power
already have a nitrous kit but im not familiar with nitrous and would rather go turbo
i need to weigh my options on what/how to go about a turbo setup and begin
before my problem was the truck manifolds i had where hitting the frame rails so i cut the flanges off and had v bands welded on which would be fine with using a frame mounted turbo but i may end up doing a decent big single and exhaust out the hood and not have to worry about a scavenge pump
winters coming up so the tear down is coming closer

what are people using for the exhaust pipe when flipping the manifolds to put the turbo infront of the motor? the guy who does my welding is wondering as well. thanks

Mild steel/ heat wrapped, or ceramic coated is fine for the crossover, no need for schedule 10.
