Default Intercooler piping fabrication

I already have my intercooler, just need the piping, silicone hose and clamps.

I have no welding experience, but have a place I will be taking the pipe to be welded once it's all cut.

Has anyone bought a universal kit and pieced it together? Just interested in what bends I will need and a rough idea of how many of each to complete the intercooler setup on a front mount.

If someone had anything similar to a "hot to" on where to cut which pipes that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance fellas.

It is a KYTP hotside. Turbo will be mounted in the center. Looking to run the pipe off the TB towards the drivers side. Going on a 99' Camaro.

get some masking tape, 2" wide works good. There is no real "where to cut" way to do it directing you online. You have to start at one end, and secure the pipe to either the intercooler or turbo and then just cut and tape from there. When you tape them only tape about 75% of it, then on the open spot draw a line across both pipes and label each end of the line (each pipe) with either letters or numbers... I usually put a stitch weld on the open spot then peel the tape off. But if you have to transport it somewhere the lines and numbers/letters will make it easy to put back together if it should come apart. Wherever you start, if say on an elbow, I cut one end off and then save the end (because it has a bead rolled into it) and weld that on wherever I end up.

There was 2 different ebay kits when I did mine, thats probably your best and cheapest route. The one with 45's and 90 degree bends and then one with some U- bends, I get the one with the 90's and 45's as I had no use for the U-bends. I always end up with a bunch left over too.

I appreciate the input! Easier to start from the TB and make cuts or from the turbo or what?

Ya and I'm telling you the quality is top notch. Notch lot of the ic piping sucks and you have to grind the polish they put on and it just makes it a pain in the ***. Do the kit with the least amount of silicone couplers it will come out great. Just like what was said above mock it up with masking tape it will go smooth
