What does it pickup ait wise going down the track? I have a large garret core to build for my car, but I don't have it running yet, I have used them on plenty of big power 4 bangers with great results.

I have seen the treadstone work well on some fast 4 bangers as well, seems to be a good budget core for sure.

I am goin to the track tonight with a friends turbo mustang (800rwhp) with one of the ebay special 4" thick cores, The aits rise like crazy on the interstate, I will post up the data from the track later tonight.

The mustang didn't run that good, its a stick car and had problems shifting so it spent alot of time not spooled. 331sbf, gt42-76, e85 ~20psi made 800 wheel.

The ait picked 70 deg on a 1/4 mile pass, its the 4" core.

I just picked up a D1 car and will be looking at swapping to a fmic for a number of reasons, looks being a big one! LOL

I had a CX 31x12x4 fmic with the 3" in/out and made 949rhwp on 110 oct and 700rhwp on 11psi & 93 oct.

For $100, i will be using it on this car as well!!

What was pre/post temp and pressure skinnies? 100* off is a good number, but not if outlet temp is in the 300s.

Pressure drop can be misleading. It's a double edged sword. You need drop in order for it to do its job- Cooling the charge- but too much results in loss of HP.

All good and well saying that. But if another $3-400 could yield another 150hp, it has to represent great value.

Would be interesting to see more back to back results

i wouldn't expect a whole lot more to have been had. it was just a truck mani kit with stock heads, a mild cam and a vic jr on 22 psi, nothing exotic or high flowing about it. obviously i could be wrong, but i was pretty pleased with 949 on a conservative tune as the car saw more street cruising than track. the OP is my tuner and seemed pretty impressed with the simple combo's output

I'm sure I could pick up some power with a nicer aftermarket IC. Just not worth it for my application.

My cooler was $125 shipped. For the money spent... it works very well.
I'm seeing up to 5psi pressure drop with same cooler (15psi manifold pressure, 383ci with TC78)

Highest I've seen of now is 240 degrees on one full pull, but most of the time I'm running right at 190-200 at the end of a run. This is racing in 95 degree heat.

I think the 9" version and my bumper cut more would make a big difference. I talked to treadstone about the 6" intercooler when I got it, they said I should be able to shove 1200rwhp through it, just isn't ideal. They told me iats would go up, but restriction shouldn't be an issue and so far it hasn't been.

Vengeance racing did a TT c6 with about a 18 inch high intercooler. It was 4 inch thick and is currently supporting approx 1500rwhp! The hight really is helping pull the heat out.

Right at $1200 by the time it was shipped. Will have less than 1 psi drop and is good for well more than my 76mm can make

Are you going to log pressure drop to verify Thadd?

I may do some testing on it, but its not high on the priority list. I'm fairly confident it's good to go

It should be relatively easy to set-up a pressure transducer or sensor pre and post intercooler and log it with your BS3.

Guys may I advise you to use Motorola differential sensor? That would be precise and easy to setup, just find 5V source and connect 2 pressure sources. Don't have to worry about different gauges reading different anymore.
I used MPX5050DP, 7.5psi range, it puts out 5V signal you can log

THADD, any reason for only going for a 6 inch high core?
