I have a camera phone too. Whatever you want. Ask for it publicly in this thread and I will do it. Internet haters are funny.

That ship has sailed. Couldn't even trust them to rebuild it again.

You are a genius aren't you. My name is Jason Hallam. I work for LG Electronics. I love cars and live in Chicago which happens to be not too far from AES. About 10 miles or so tops.

Here is my linkedin profile. https://www.linkedin.com/profile/vie...identity-photo

My cell number is 331.333.9315 I have nothing to hide. I call things like I see them personally. No internet hate from me. Just fact. Bottom line is, I haven't seen a legitimate problem in this thread that can't be chocked up to communication issues.

Mine was clear cut.

I paid for goods in advance. Goods were not supplied on time, or remotely near. I was told most of these were in stock and he could ship in a few days.
This did not happen.

Eventually some parts arrived, no word as to why the CA625's that were paid for over 3 months previous were not supplied.

It took another month to get a refund for them

They blatantly lied about posting the goods on 04 Feb. This did not happen...eventually the parts they did post ( on 20 Feb, arrived 25 Feb ), the piston rings were dated 19 Feb 2015.
The same piston rings I pre-ordered in Oct as I wanted gapless and expected a short delay on these. I was told these were in stock early November.

Clearly lies, after lies, after failure to supply goods.

Communication wouldnt have fixed these matters. It's just downright bad business practise combined with ***** communication.

And that isnt getting into how long it took them to carry out work to the LS2 block I bought a couple of years before.

I will never ever use them again, nor would I recommend anyone else does.

Despite how angry I am about it all, and how badly I was treated. I do still have the belief that they are capable of some good work.
But if they cant cope with distance selling, really they should just stop and in turn it would stop many many people getting screwed over and very angry.

I don't know man. I'll print this and hand it to them and ask them to update each of those line items. Specific to the ARP625's - could have been laziness of oh yeah I can get those no problem. Then realized nobody on this green earth has them... I think you have found that out on your own recently as well.

Lying on the postmark is a bad rookie move. They were trying to appease an upset customer hoping to break some free somehwhere is my guess. No excuse for that.

ROTARY RX7 dude - post pictures. They don't sponsor this forum so do whatever you want man.

Like I said earlier, if you notice something that doesn't sound right, don't give the benefit of the doubt. Don't jump to conclusions but scrutinize things and be prepared. Finding a good tech or a good shop is like finding a good doctor, lawyer or woman. The really good ones are rare. I can literally count on one hand, the number of shops I'd trust. As sad as that sounds, that's my reality. I've been doing this for over half my life and have seen too much... if you find a great shop, tell people. If you get legitimately ripped off, tell people.

Rotary will have a very good story once he's ok'd to let it out. I don't post much but I'll say this one is beyond just communication issues.

Very good advice for everyone on this board. AES is not perfect. Their machine work is good though.

Never used them, not sure I'd personally take the chance. I have 2 trusted machine shops that I use and I assemble my own stuff. I've never had good luck relying on others to do things the way I want them. Shoddy business practices are a huge issue for me, regardless of the name or reputation.

It goes beyond lying on the postmark.

And the rest of the issues are resolved, as said eventually I did get my refund. Still by no means a good resolution as I've had to progress without the studs as fed up waiting on others.

No need to contact them about anything on my behalf. There is nothing more to say to them.

I have no problem if they are difficult to get, or unobtainable....but not once did they ever say that, or even suggest it may be the case. It was only when I opened the parcel and they werent there.

You sure about that good machine work? I've seen two motors sent here to Australia that both had to be re-machined. And i'm the ******* that recommended these guys to my mates, don't I look like an idiot..
Jacks Brothers (Build V8 supercar engines to last a season) asked if they were machined by kids.. Oval bores on one that hadn't even been ran, let alone assembled!! Amongst the parts not sent that were on the invoice, and then parts sent that wouldn't even fit, which an engine builder like AES should know..

Can't wait to pull mine down. FYI, I ordered just before Fraser left. My mates ordered about a year after me. And received their engines around the same time. ******* lol.

If it holds together, great. Nobody is saying they haven't built SOME decent engines. But lately their track record isn't looking too great. Quite unfortunate really.

Just because we don't all have 30k to drop on an engine isn't the point. I figured my circa 10k bill would have got me what I asked for. Same goes for my mate, he spent more. Poor bloke.

$10K is not a small engine build at all... Truthfully, any amount spent you expect top quality machine work. From what I have seen and some of the local performacne shops that use AES for all their machine work, I would say in general, yes, their machine work is very good....

Sucks to hear about your stuff though man. I don't know what to say about those instances.....I do know that unhappy people tell 100 people and happy people tell 2-3 people.

AES has probably built and shipped 5K plus LS engines and in a very public forum we have a 5-6 people loudly complaining. Nobody is perfect and even the best F*ck up once in a while. If anything is screwed up with mine it will be posted here. I feel relatively confident it's going to be great though.
