Default turbo 5.3 s2000

i got a 2010 5.3 all alum bone stock on a 75mm t6 borgwarner turbo tru a powerglide and 308 rear end. the car made 680@17psi on e85 . track it and we got it to run 9.57@144. coud this b the fastes i could get it to run bone stock it felt as i did not have power after 6k. what should my firts mods b

Do you have upgraded valve springs? What size exhaust and DP?

4500 stall kind of lose and 5" down pipe. it is a bone stock motor from the junk yard to the track. car intake

Swapping cams should give you more power above 6k. The truck cams are pretty small and geared towards torque and low end power obviously. Even just an LS6 cam would yield great results.

Or a custom turbo cam if you want some lope with it.

over 10lbs of boost you are most likely blowing valves open like a bitch haha

Good point. Cam and valve springs would be a nice, cost effective, improvement.

Side note: 9.57@144 is damn respectable for 680rwhp! Shows that the whole system is working good together. Many others have gone slower with more hp. Good job!

Valve springs and pushrods with a specd turbo cam. You will be able to turn up the wick then.

might as well throw in Head studs and LS9 Gaskets. $160 bucks.

I'm curious what the stock cam could really do with a turbo... Valve springs are a must though. How much does the car weigh?

the car is 3100 with me in it.the day we tested @12psi ran 140 and @17 psi 144 that how i know that is all that motor has . what is the fastest bone sock 5.3 no mods
