Default changed WG spring, issues

so i had an 8psi waste gate spring in, and went to up to a 12psi spring, well i switched them out, i seem to have the same power as 8psi, my gauge says 12 but it sounds like it shudders, what i was wondering is do i need to change a bov valve spring too?? would that cause my BOV to flutter with higher boost?

Are you just running on the spring or are you running a controller. I've had the same problem outta boost controllers. I wouldn't think the bov would flutter but I guess it is possible . What size wg ?

its just a new spring, no controller, and pretty sure 44mm, like the car dosnt lose power it just feels basically like i did on 8psi, just makes alot more turbo noise and a weird studdery sound.

im gunna try a diff tune and see what it does but ill look more into the BOV situation too, everything i read though said use the lightest spring possible

Is it the wastegate or turbo making the noise? Could be compressor being upset with ya...

hard to tell cause its not real distinct, something else i thought of is race season ended so i closed my exhaust back up and its real restrictive, could this cause it to feel like its loosing boost up top?

If exhaust is real restrictive it'll kill it for sure on a turbo application.

If it's breaking up, check your plug gaps, close them down to around 28 thou.
Also what valve springs are you running ? if std, your probably getting valve float at the higher boost level.

And check with a wideband that you have enough fuel in your tune for the extra boost, or you may kiss your engine goodbye .
