Thats terrible. This goes to show that there is no amount of money you can put on safety items. Life is short. Prayers to his family.

The sad thing is...It was probably because he had safety equipment (5 way seat harness) that he did die.

I know of lots of people that don't strap in when they run on the street because the harness restricts their movement to much.

Does the factory gauges work? Or guessing by the car on a trailer it's a dedicated race car?

Same here. Building an LQ turbo 300zx. the Z31 guys use that 240sx rear end a lot. Read this and was really sad to hear he passed away. Even on the street though, I will always wear my 5 pt harness, and I always make passengers put on the 4 pt as well. If they don't, they don't go for a ride.

Matt was a great guy to have on your side. I knew him for about 3 years. We talked or texted at least once a week for the last year or so. He taught me a lot about LS stuff and turbos. Always willing to teach, and talk cars. He's the reason my car is and will always be nicknamed "THE LAW". Matt took this video of me barely beating an EVO with my old nitrous 2v setup.

This is from today. Funeral is tomorrow. I'll miss you Matt, a lot. Clarksville 8th mile won't be the same without you. I'm grateful I had the privilege to know you, if only for a few years.
