Milled 317's pushing water?
Milled 317's pushing water? Considering 317's for my turbo build if I decide to sell my TFS 215 heads, and have heard that milling any of the stock heads may cause clamping issues at higher PSI. Would milling them .020 be ok? Aiming for 900-1000 whp on a 370. Any personal experiences with any milled stock heads and +15 PSI is welcome.

My 799's are milled .030. Running 28psi of boost on alum block 5.3 at 950whp. Pushed water on stock 3 layer LS1 gaskets. Swapped to LS9's and no issues again. Quite a few track passes and street time.
Wow ok, that makes me feel quite confident that I will be ok haha. From what you've seen, is .020 - .030 on stock heads typically not an issue with the majority of high power FI builds, if the build/tune is done right?

Verdad Gallardo The heads Im looking at are used, and have been milled .020 that's why I ask. I planned to find a pair of un milled 317's and have the local machine shop just mill enough off to clean them up. But these are a steal, and just wanted to make sure .020 wouldn't be an issue with clamping force.
