That thing was moving for drag week
Thanks Kerry
5" on the big ones, 2 5/16" on the small ones.
Front suspension is a single adjustable tokico in a sectioned stock strut with 200# springs on ground control coilover kit. It was built to turn, on a budget. By no means set up for drag racing - obvious if you ever watched the car.

Best pass to date:

28x10.5 MT ET Drag on an 8" draglite, 3.55 rear gear

Shift light set at 6400, crossing the traps about 6350

Left a variety of ways. The above pass was on the 2 step @4700rpm, built 5# on the line. Boost was set at 20#

Car weighs 2920 with 1/2 tank + 165 (me), so right about 3100# race weight.

Would you have any pics of the front struts and springs?? Also did you use the stock brakes and hubs?? I'm thinking of convertin over to 5 lug to match my rear and was wondering if you ever seen any information on a conversion?? Would like to just change the hubs if possible.

If I can't find anything. I will just cut the front out and make a new front end

This is about the best picture I have.

Calipers are off a mid 80's BMW 740i. Rotors are off a Z31 300zx NA 4 lug car. I had a friend cut me some spacers to space rotor off the hub. The studs are ARP, for a 4th gen F Body. They are just a few thousands bigger, and work great.

You can use a Z31 5 lug hub, but it moves the wheel face 3/4" outward. Theres literally piles of information on this over on Hybridz.org - I suggest you check it out. There's also the option of custom hubs, which are pricey, but keep the wheel in the same spot as stock.

Very nice. I want to check into springs for the front of mine before we put the new motor in. My ground to oil pan clearance will give a snake a concussion.

Nope! Just got the car back together last weekend though. Turbo finally showed back up after like 3 months, but I can't complain too much because it was covered under Turbonetics' warranty.

Broke the new motor in on 10#. Wow this thing feels like a rocket! Its funny how fast it feels after a couple months of driving the dailies.

No real winter plans other than some minor wiring, and tidying up. Its kinda nice to not have any "projects" planned.

What engine did you put back in, same thing or did you re-build the old one?

On a side note you southern guys have it made except for those excessive heat summer days.

Yeah, I turned it up to 20# last weekend as well. It doesn't get traction, ever. Rolling into it at 70+, it just lights the tires. Almost scary haha.

The drag week engine was a lost cause. Way too many spun bearings.

This is another 5.3 that I disassembled, cleaned, re-gapped the rings, new rod bearings, and put together the same as engine #1.

Small update: I've moved, changed jobs, and I'm back into an apartment garage (for now).

Life comes at you fast

I had some issues with the car falling on its face, found out that the prefilter for the fuel pumps was plugged. I cleaned the tank after the sump install, but it still had this in it.

Car is back up and running on 20#, killing the tires. I have some video that I'll try to share soon.

Still looking to sell the magnum thats in it, (2.97 1st) if anyone is interested.... The 2.66 is better for this car..... So LMK!

I'd be interested depending on price-should work OK since I plan on going with a 3.27 rear gear.

PS-dont go auto!!
