Default Aster bracket users step inside

I've read where some of you have had issues where the belt tensioner cuts into the power steering pulley.

Well I had CBR Performance Products...( Company who makes the turbo kits/parts for Modular Turbo) Make up this power steering relocation bracket to use with the Aster bracket so there will never be any interference issues with the P/S pulley and as an added bonus getting a wrench/socket on the belt tensioner is a bit easier.

If there is any interest with others who may want to use this bracket he'll make more of them. The current bracket that's been in production for the turbo guys puts the pump in a different location then this one.

Although I have a Wazee pulley on the pump it is not necessary as the OEM pulley will work fine.

I was thinking about the Wazee pulley did the belt tensioner still hit? How much will that bracket be?
Thanks

The pulley is close but didn't hit, however the tensioner bolt is still a pain to get a wrench on so this bracket took care of that issue.

Bracket was $125.00 and if you choose to use his hose set they're $149.00

Forgot to mention he is going to make a larger diameter crank pulley then the 7.6" procharger pulley also

Probably 8" but he was looking for opinions as to what others may want. He mentioned possibly making a couple sizes.

The D1 is only on the engine for these mockup pics.
I currently have an F1A on the car.

Any idea when this crank pulley will be available?

I would take a 8inch pulley if it fits. I thought I heard before you make more torque with a bigger crank pulley?

Chris is optimistic that he can have the crank pulley ready for mid to end of January.

I just ran into this issue tonight, as I installed the Wazee pulley over the weekend, and picked up my blower belt today. Problem was easily solved by grinding 1-2mm of the head of the bolt that holds the pulley on the tensioner. I also use a cross beam gearwrench and have no issue fitting it in between the tensioner and the power steering pulley.

Before anyone worries about the strength of the bolt after grinding off a little, originally it's a good 10-12mm tall, so taking off a couple mm is no big deal.

Very nice combination! I would suggest making a one inch larger crank pulley. With the larger crank pulley the Aster bracket might end up working well with an F-1R. Bob

An 8.6" pulley is a very good idea.

Very interesting to see a bigger crank pulley. Should help get more blower rpm, and not worry about belt slip.
