Default Downpipe Flex?

From the turbo, my downpipe connects to catback via V band and then a regular exhaust out back.

Should I install a flex joint between the turbo and exhaust? IE somewhere in the downpipe. Turbo is mounted to engine block. Solid motor mounts.

solid motor mounts, i would say no. i would personally run one anyway because the exhaust is allways moving unless everything is mounted solid (exhaust mounts) to the body. i've used a flex-pipe in my old setup, but i had the rubber motor mounts and rubber exhaust mounts.

Ok cause I just worry about the stuff flexing and potentially over stressing the turbo housing.

I'm certain that the 16 gauge tubing would give out before the cast iron turbine housing.

I installed a small flex piece to the exhaust that connects to the downpipe. I have poly mounts. Here's a link to the unit I used.

A cast piece is much more susceptible to vibration fatigue than a cold worked pipe IMO.

Are you using the stock rubber pieces on the exhaust hangers?

Not necessary. The rest of the exhaust has room to move. The heavy cast turbine housing is in no danger. Just be sure the weight is supported. I have flex joints in my cross over and wastegate pipe as they are mounted rigid at each end.
