It could if built with a LSX standard deck block. Not sure what block they are using though, might be a tall deck LSX?

That's a lot of $$$$ for a 3000bhp LSX engine when compared to a 3000+bhp BBC from them:

Still fantastic piece though!

Yea they're definitely smoking some dust if they think that motor is worth $53k. Especially with an LSX block.

It's priced almost $20k higher than it would cost to build

Agreed a billet block and that would be a great deal but not a LSx

Well then build them for 20 less and start selling them. There is a lot of labor and R&D to make 3000hp with an LS engine. Over 2000hp and the wheels start falling off if you know what I mean.

The heads alone are 5 grand bare. The heads and crank are probably close to 10 grand, so I can see the 53k price tag.

Thats not accurate. Mine was 38k to build and i have a callies crank. This has a sonny byant Which is probably double the cost of mine. This also has the dry sump on it which is prob 5k or so.

A lot of people dont understand what it ACTUALLY takes to build a motor to handle 2500hp.

You would be shocked to see how much some of these guys have in their engine programs.

I bet there are quite a few LSX racers with more money into their current motors, with less R&D in them than this option does.

You guys clearly don't know what it costs to build a motor like that. Like I said. That price tag is almost 20k too high.

Proline usually builds a great motor. However everything they build is 10-30% overpriced from the real world. You can't factor in "R&D". Hence why I said how much cheaper it would be to build. Their "R&D" is what makes them think their motors are worth that kinda money. And a lot of people need their "R&D"

And they must not have done too much "R&D" because an LSX block no matter what you do to it, its not going to like 3300hp.
I've had them split and crumble with much less than that.
