Default Vortech or Procharger

I`ve been thinking about going FI and like the ATI being under the car and having its own oil sepperate from the engine. Plus I could use my Mezier EWP which keeps my car nice and cool in the heat of Florida. But talking locally with some dragracers most guys prefer Vortech over Procharger( and you see alot of belt slippage problems w/ATI on this board) so i`m leaning toward the Vortech. Also has anyone tried using a Mezier EWP with a Vortech.

You guys can correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Crunch's 10.78 about as quick as the Vortech G-trim has gone? I know that the D1SC has broken into the nines. My point, Caveman is that you may not move that far from where you are with the Vortech.

Go with Procharger and do 1 of the 2 things.

1. SD concept tensioner pulley system
2. Get a Morgan Motorsports crank pulley

I <3 my ATI

2001WS6Vert is right.
Caveman, if your car is already 11.00's on motor, you do NOT want the Vortech V9 G-trim. It's designed as a street kit for a stock 346ci motor with shorty headers. We are cranking out more juice from it with heads & cam, longtubes, smaller pulleys, etc. In the end, if you do everything right, you'll can up in the high 10's.
In your case, you'll be much quicker by using nitrous at this point (if you want to retain the current engine combo), or going low compression/smaller cam and getting either the ATI D-1SC or find a solid turbo kit.
Best wishes.

Talk to SD concepts, they sell an ATI kit that comes with their spring tensioner setup. You'll save money and headache that way.

I've been thinking about selling my turbo kit for awhile now and switching to a SC after all my research it looks like Vortech would get my business, even though all the clutter on top of the engine kinda looks bad There's alot less people having problems with the kit. It's seems like every time i log on to this site somones on here trying to fix a problem with there ATI and i don't want to deal with that.

My Turbo,
Why sell your turbo kit, when youll have the same kind of power out of the SC if you chose the vortech?

just wondering,
thanks

Or at least just switch to a bigger turbo and sell the old one.
Thats gotta be cheaper than buying a whole new $6000 supercharger kit, not to mention labor and tuning, fuel, etc.

It' really hard to find anyone who knows how to tune a turbo car in my area. And the change in temp and humidity realy makes the car run like crap not to mention when it's hot outside (like most of the time) the car runs really hot with the A/C on.

Both kit's work good.I personally don't like the look of a Vortech on top of the motor.I've never had problems with ATI's except too much power to the wheels.

Crunch I think your right about the G trim being too small for my setup, a T trim might work better but I think a D1 ATI could make more boost with a good combination( different cam 6.0L heads). Buschman do you have a phone# or website for SD Concepts their products look promissing but I don`t think they advertise on here yet, not gonna try the cog setup sorry to Bigbos for all his trouble. ATI also has an 8 rib pulley and tensioner but I have not seen anything on here about that( maybe cause it`s $1300).
