Vortech owners check this lid out!
Here are afew picture of a lid for the vortech kits. The guy needs at least 5 guys to make a run of these to keep the cost down I am looking for other interested in one so we can get these lids out there to the few of us running vortec kits and wanting to get a little more out of it. He is emailing me some dyno runs of it on a stock car. It made 18Hp and !8TQ increase with just the lid and on a stock car with the vortech aftercooler on it. Pm me if you are interested and I will set it up where we can get these made.

It is because vortech has only sold @ 500 kits so far and so that is very few for the cost of production. He said he did not get very many responses the first time around but I am trying to get one for myself and so if there are a few others at least five then the cost would be justified to me. I have spent more on other things to get less in the end. He emailed me the dyno sheets but I have not figured out how to post them if you give me your email address I will send it to you so you can look them over. Thats 2 we need at least 3 more.

Yeah I know but after talking with him he is just wanting to make them available to people like myself. He said that he was not interested in making any money on these any longer since the demand wan't there. Not that he wouldn't have liked to but at most since Vortech has only sold @ 500 of these kits he would not be able to sell more than say five hundred and at that point he would only make very little compared to all the work he did to build them ETC... But like I said he would like to make a run for a few of us and he said that we need at leat five to make it cost effective in the price range I have stated. one short of getting it going though.

Maybe email Tom@ls1speed.com and see if he would order one or two. Tbyrne is a big supercharger retailer.

I was there that day he dynoed the lid on the car. I believe that he picked up a pretty significant amount just from changing the lid but it was last April and cant remember the numbers. Brian is a great guy to deal with and does as much as he can to help folks out. I broke a piston on my LS1 block and he is now building me a 408 Stroker that he is doing for probably about half of what it would normally cost because he is taking my motor as core and trying to help me out.

Looks like they could gain some more power by redesigning the tube between the aftercooler and the tb. It looks kinda kinky.
The ducting is one of the things I have never liked about the vortech kit. Too many bends. Especially the big u bend b4 the supercharger. Making the kit a complete bolt in on a stock car sacrificed some easy hp.
