Default Need help deciding on a turbo.

OK guys, maybe I'm to indecisive I don't know. I've asked for quite a few opinions, and well you know hoe that goes everyone has their favorites.

My car (98 camaro) has a .30 over lq9. I don't plan to ever go larger than a 408, and that will be a long while., probe pistons, eagle rods, stock crank, compression is around 8.4:1, cam is a 228/232@50 598/612 on a 114+3 lsa. 317 heads though i look to get some with a thicker deck surface later on, ls6 intake ,fast 78 tb, snow performance water/meth, hp performance turbo kit, that is a t4. (currently a 67mm)

OK the turbo i personally want is a pt8847,but that's not in the budget and cant seem to come across a used one. So my question is, do I just suck it up and save for what i really want or is there a cheaper alternative that i could use? My hp goal is to see 930s at the wheels (though I'm sure once that's hit it will become 1000) Power put to the ground through a th400 and a 12bolt.
Now if anyone remembers this kit,the turbo is mounted where the battery was so size is a little bit of a factor. I can cut a little. Thanks for the recommendations.

Nothing? Was recommended a pte7675 at one time due to space, but that thing is in the same new price range as the 8847.

7675 is about $700 cheaper than the 8847, not exactly what I would call the same price range.
The 7675 will not get you to your power goal. Save for a little longer and get the 8847.

Billet S476r. 1400 or so bucks. Good for over 1000 at the wheels. No point in going with a huge 88mm when you can get it done with a 76.

They are making that with all the way up to a 92mm wheel aren't they? Which one would be better? 83,87,or 92
Here is where i get confused or maybe just over thinking. If you have a the s476r with a say 92 mm billet wheel and a s480r with the same. outside of the apparent compressor housing, whats going to be the difference? sorry to throw in another question.

The 80 will have slightly more lag but run cooler when its flowing 1000hp worth of air.

Call Jose at Forced Inductions and he will steer you straight. I also have a 370 and he is building me a badass Billet S480 ET-R HO right now. I have a T6 flange but I believe he can make it in a T4 as well...

From what I gathered, PT8847 is much more compact. Don't know if that's of any importance for you, but I cannot fit large turbos like s475-s480 unfortunately
