Default What type of heat shield material is this?

What type of heat shielding is this? I see that the material can either be inconel or aluminum. I would like to purchase it in sheets to be bend, shaped, etc.

I know APS had them on their turbo kits. It seems like this material is big in the UK and AUS.

I also know that it can be referred to as "Double Wall Aluminum" or "Embossed Aluminum"

Any help?

Tons of manufacturers out there make heat shielding kits.

Use these two links, there are tons of different products.

The only thing i can see that may be close is the DEI floor and tunnel.. Link below:

The material i am looking for is hard. Its what OEM's use for heat shielding as well. Often pressed into shape.

I don't think that DEI stuff is rigid like what you are looking for (due to it being adhesive backed). I have been looking around for the same type of stuff as you are describing. Update this if you find something that works.

I know haha...that why im trying to find the aluminum material to do it myself. I have access to a bending brake and sheet metal tools.

I have 600 bucks into my entire hotside, i dont want to spend another 600 on just a turbo blanket.

Nice stuff for sure. Need to find who makes the sheet stock. Still going to be spendy. That company seems to build for high end racing applications.

They are SUPER spendy because they are apparently made from Inconel. The same stuff REALLLLLY high end F1 type race car manifolds are made out of. They can take any hear you throw at them.
