Seeing the turbo kit sold, I figured it was time to start tearing the car down. I sold the kits on payments, and won't be shipping it until it is completely paid for.
It started something like this on Black Friday:
And in the matter of a few hours looked like this:
Most of kit is off. Still have to pull a few things like feed and drain lines.
Turbos boxed and ready for shipping:
Turbo kit parts:
I decided to use the rest of my Black Friday and go buck wild on buying parts.
It wasn't long before I started seeing stuff like this:
It started where I might only need a small Christmas tree:
But quickly got out of hand:
I am going to be talking to Lil John about a cam and will be swapping out the cam and rockers (hopefully to offset some cost). From there, the car should be going to Nate at One Guy's Garage in January for fabrication of a new twin turbo kit. I have a bunch of ideas wrote down, and we will see where the kit goes. Planning to stand the radiator up and install the turbos directly in front of the engine. Going to use truck manifolds and all stainless on the hot side. Installing a very large front mount intercooler. All cold side piping will be aluminum. Planning to utilize the Holley Dominator and install a bunch of sensors for additional data. Also planning to update a few things here and there during the winter build.
Here is a quick overview of a bunch of the parts I have accumulated:
(2) Precision PT6766's, T4, .96A/R
(2) Precision PW46 Wastegates
Chinese 50mm BOV
Garrett 27.8" x 12.7" x 5.1" Air-Air Intercooler Core
Griffin 58241 Radiator
(2) Derale 16925 fans
TCI Outlaw Shifter
Katech Billet Belt Tensioner
Can't wait to get this up to One Guy's Garage, order some piping and eventually see some photos of the new kit.

Yes sir.
And I must let everybody know: It was a very smooth transaction working with Tim (Rare96LT1Formula) on ordering many of these parts. Good communication on both the phone and over the Web. Had a shipping issue with the supplier and was easily sorted out. He will be at the top of the list for ordering parts in the future.
Oh, but I must warn you....he is a Packers fan.
