Please post some videos if you can.

its not noise, its music, lol
I sent my D1SC back to have it checked, it rattled a lot at idle, part being I run a transplant kit with a cog belt-I suspect w/o a spring loaded idler the slack in the belt adds to the noise, banging the gears-cogs are not rec. for the D1SC trans, but its what I have
I love the whine, hate the sound like bad alt. bearings
I have had 10-15 Procharged cars, this one is prob the most noisy because of the combo

Im kinda in the same boat here... I am swapping in a boost ready 416 right now in to my Camaro. I dont really mind the noise THAT MUCH (pretty loud exhaust anyway - Kooks LTs, OR Xpipe, Spintechs dumped) but this is a weekend cruiser that I take my wife out in every once in a while, so I think the noise might get annoying eventually. I was originally going to go F1A but apparently those are quite loud. I think the D1SC would not bother me as much, especially the helical gears. So that is an option. Problem is I say now I only want maybe 750-850 rwhp, but once I get that for a period of time, Im sure I may want more... and that is where the F1A would be needed.

Im still on the fence though, I may just go turbo. Not just for noise reasons, but it is sort of a bonus its more stealthy.

I had a Vortech V2 SQ (super quite) on my Z06 a few years back and people would swear my car had NOS because it went like no ones business but didn't have the blower noise to back it up so theyd assume I was spraying.

Then you got something like the Whipple 2.9, I don't even know if that thing fits on your car though.

Granted, the audio in my video sucked thanks to GoPro's shitty firmware on the Hero3 Black edition when it first came out, but you can barely hear the blower. Listen to when I pull in the garage and open the door, it's not that bad.... at least I don't think it is. The exhaust is louder than the blower.

I've never heard anything quieter than the v3 -trim I used to have.

Those are self contained. It would surely make about 800rw with e85 on a 390.

I think I need to go to a gathering in Miami or Lauderdale and actually stand near one, sit in one idling and go for a ride to see for myself.

That one in your vid did sound pretty quiet, I think I was just hearing a slight chirping.......not bad.

I have an F1A in my weekend cruiser and I don't think its loud at all while behind the wheel. However, a friend of mine said he could definitely hear it from around the block lol.

The corvette kits DO NOT fit on F-body's. So comparing a quiet V3 is non- existant for the OP here.

Corvette kits do fit on fbodys with quite a bit of modifications. I have one but still needs a bit of work. So far ive figured out the spaceing needed to make the bracket fit and was able to get some idel runs to see if it would chuck a belt. At this point i just need to stand up the radiator and run the FMIC pipeing.
