The Mickey Thompson PRO tire is a "DOT legal" radial tire.

I'm assuming its all upgraded with stubs and shafts? I have a 74 260z and I'm deciding what I wanna do for a rear end for a v8 swap. Leaning more towards a solid rear (just because it will be WAY cheaper as I already have an 8.8 wih a posi and a 9" housing I can use) I just wish there were more write ups on the solid setup to get an idea how others have done it.

Plenty of info on hybridz.org At the end of the day the rear end choice you make needs to be shaped around what you plan on doing with the car. The types of races i like require factory suspension to be intact. Going SRA has TONS of benefits but will limit you class wise in racing. If you could give a **** about that and are looking for a street car/all out race car than SRA is the way to go.

I have a nasty habit of pushing **** to the limits just to see what happens/say i did it even if it ends up costing me 5X more. Also yes the rear end is built up with the best/strongest parts offered for an S30. Oddly enough i still have the stock VLSD in the diff.. I don't expect that to last much longer.

On a side note you could always go 8.8IRS and get the best of both worlds. There are a few guys running that combo right now but no one has pushed it past 650whp and its never seen the track. Hell my stock outer stubs lasted at 660whp on the street. The track is the true test.

Just read the whole thread. Very nice car boss. Cant wait to see what you do with the glide and gear vendors. Thats what one of the cars that went 6s in Drag Week is using.

Unfortunately not yet. I am at the mercy of a friend of mine that is doing some final wiring for me. The guy has a career/little kid/drinking problem i kid i kid.. I SHOULD be going to pick it up this Sunday. At that point i have all my parts on a shelf waiting to go on such as inter cooler, drive shaft, trans cooler etc. and some nick knacks. After that is done i will start testing and breaking in the trans and making sure all the changes i made are problem free. Its still a ways out from being "done" but its moving along. rest assured that when its on the road there will be plenty of pictures and videos to follow. Im shooting for 8's!

The waiting sucks. I put mine up on jack stands just so it would look different. Maybe put a couple of tomato plants in the engine compartment so I can write it off as farm equipment.

After 15 months my patience is still ok, but my desire is dropping off. The main, rod, and cam bearings are due in tomorrow so I'm hoping to see it start going together very soon.
