Thanks for the kind words. I probably should have done a back half too, but I got it in my mind that I wanted to make this thing turn too....

I still like the idea of IRS but I'm just not sure it will hold up anymore. I would like to do the 8.8 swap but I'm fully vested in this R200 at the moment. When the rear end grenades ill figure something else out.

I can nearly guarantee you the R200 will take whatever you throw at it. Axles, stub axles, and input stubs... thats a different story.

I should have been more specific. I'm curious how long the VLSD will hold up. I think I'm ok with the MM kit that's on it.

Is the stock IRS worth anything beside its weight in scrap iron? I have a good unit I removed.

On my way back from brazil now. So I will get you some measurements when I get home tomorrow. Pretty sure top is 11 1/4 and bottom was 12 1/4

Thanks for the comments. My last blow thru carb'd Stang made 1200 rwhp but never ran the et it should have due to lack of attention to making it leave. I was more of a Dyno queen, worried about hp numbers. This time around all I'm focusing on is 60' and making this thing run the et I want. If it can do it with 800 rwhp great. If it needs 1200 rwhp that's cool too. But not gonna focus on hp soo much. More concerned with time slips.
I would like the car to run mid 8's on stock ls motor, if I can get there I will be happy if not, I guess a forged bottom end will be the answer

Yup, many of thousands of dollars ago. I'm actually running one of your old bearing cups on my rear end.

Not really. You might find a buyer for the diff. On the other hand it is a classic now a days and there are a lot of people restoring them. There are a couple websites you can try and sell the stuff on.

Well. Finally made it back from Brazil. Got a little work done today. Was able to put the rear together. It's got 31 spline axles, spool and 3.27 gears.

I started up a John Deere factory about 14 years ago and now I go back and forth every month to check up on factory and meet with our larger customers.
