boost and pump gas i plan on running an on3 kit with the 76mm turbo , 60lb injectors , 340lph fuel pump , colbalt ss 2bar map , aem wideband , stock ls1 except 228r 112lsa cam ... i only want to run pump gas both for budget and for simplicity im just wondering if 10 lbs would be safe im looking for 550 rwhp through m6 ... i also plan on gaping the rings and plan on tune from frost as i live near richmond thanks for your time

If your IAT's aren't sky high at the end of a pull, you will make decent power. With my setup I was seeing 177F at the top of 4th. I added meth to get the timing back that was being pulled when my IAT's went high.

OP I have a very simple budget setup and as of now I am at 9 lbs and 550 through a unlocked th400 straight pump gas no meth. your goals are pretty realistic and easy and should be fine at 10 lbs. dont get greedy.... only thing I would do is use 80 lbs injectors since they will cost the same, gives you room to grow if in the future you switch to e85 or add meth and want to add more boost.
Sorry for taking so long to reply .. but yeah i would like to stay away from meth not that its bad but i don't like refilling things to push the fun pedal except for petrol lol just for simplicity ... unless i find a great deal on forged rods and pistons im just going to freshen her up a bit and try 10 psi i was going to do 8 but i want to be sure im over 500 ponies atthe wheels

Mines tuned only on pump gas. I added meth to it without re tuning just for the added safety. Makes it pig rich. Mines the AIS kit. Tank holds 3 gallons. That last a very very long time unless your in boost every time you take off. Saying that I'm also a cam only high mile ls1. Bolts, gaskets all stock. 16 psi made 775rwhp and run it on 21psi on the street. Not enough load or traction on Dyno to make 21psi there. Pushes a little water over 6000rpm but I rarely pull 4th any higher than low 5000rpm since the slicks and 3.42s make gearing very tall lol. Gets going fast in a hurry.
It really depends on your IAT's. I would at least reccomend a large FMIC to help. I think you'll have to keep the boost pretty low to keep things "somewhat safe".
FWIW, you should at least consider meth injection. You fill it in most cases way less than you fill your tank with gas.
I have a 1 gallon meth tank, and I can breath the living snot out of the car and drive it a TON, and I have to fill the tank maybe once a month. I have ran meth for years (about 5), and I have spent a whopping $40 total in meth over that time span (and I still have 8 gallons left). So, most times, you are talking about something that is dirt cheap, and you barely have to keep full, all at the gain to keep you running off of pump gas and maybe making that stock LS1 lasting a little while under boost.

I guess to be specific, it depends on the nozzle size you are running, what your controller is set at, and how much you plan on getting into boost.
My Snow Performance controller starts coming on at 4#'s of boost and is at max spray at 12#'s of boost. This is all from a single nozzle.
Running dual nozzles, and a more aggressive setting will obviously go through more meth.
