Im getting to the point in my build where I need to start looking for custom In/Out fittings and or options. The stock position of the LS thermostat (facing passenger fender) will not work for me. If any of you guys have detailed photos or know of custom thermostats with various port locations please share.

Ideally I would use this position. I don't really want to run AN fittings and short of modifying the mounting tabs on thermostat I'm not sure what to do.

You probably won't use this... only way I could see it working is cutting off the neck that comes on it and welding on the right size 90° pipe.

This one is super expensive, but seems to be the only option to point straight down that I've seen.

Just throwing the idea out there. I'd think any decent welder with an AC tig machine could probably build up enough material to add two more "ears" on to the thermostat housing. You'd just need to clean them up and drill the bolt holes.

I have just ran the bolts next to the sides of the housing and used the heads of the bolts to hold the housing down

get a piece if 1/2 aluminum.
And cut you a spacer out.
That matches the new pattern with two sets if holes.
One set matches water pump.
Other set matches new t- housing location.
Just tap that set to threaded bolt you want to use.

Do some pumps not have the stat in a different location ?

Failing that, cut/weld/adapt the OEM piece

Thanks for the input guys. My thermal arc 181i is not an AC welder.. They advertise a spool gun for it but Not being AC I don't trust it to build a solid weld.
