Looking for some input on how to run a pcv system on a twin LSX build i dont have the valley or valve covers yet so i'm flexable just want to do it right so i have no issues!
Pics or diagrams would be very helpful!

 

-12 bungs in each valve cover to a catch can is what I did.

 

I plan on the same thing. Going to try welded -12 fittings in the valve covers without baffles. I will see how much oil I get in the catch can.

So no vacuum source from the intake pulling to the catch can?

 

there is no vacuum in the intake when in boost. The boost will push by the rings therefor pressurizing the crankcase. Hence the reason for the large AN fittings to evacuate the pressure.

 

so there really is no pcv valve just two vent lines to a can?
I seen some detailed systems that went in and out of catch cans with lines off the compressor side of the turbos and also using vacuum from the intake just a bit confusing!

 

Street car or race car? You can pull vacuum pre turbo. Depends on what you are using it for. I am drag race only. If you pull vacuum thru a catch can it can't be vented. If you are using boost pressure to "push" into the catch can, the can must be vented. Make sense? No need for Pcv

 

I'll be using the mightymouse PCV catch can to avoid oil fumes and mist in the engine bay. the can goes between the Valve covers and the intake with a one way check valve for when you're in boost. the PCV from my LS6 valley cover will go to a fresh air port in my filter pre turbo.

On a street car I prefer to not smell any fumes so this is how I set them up.

LS6 valley cover with one way check valve to intake manifold. Both valve covers routed to air filter(s) or induction between air filter(s) and turbo(s)/supercharger.

 

Yes i definitely don't want smell or most everywhere! I will probably be using a single plane intake and a flat billet valley cover so I don't think the ls6 cover is in the cards.

 

Try this; part numbers for the check valves are floating around here somewhere, they are GM pieces.

 

vented valve covers stink sorry, but I'm looking to either move the catch can to the back of the car or go with an RX dual valve catch can designed for boost

I'm worried that the little 3/8 hoses aren't near big enough

the -10 I have now have a larger inner diameter and flow alot more

I also think my engine has some excessive blow by so I'm checking out the leak down and compression

its a ttix car with about 20k on the build

 

I read allot of guys pulling vents from the valley pan instead of the valve covers is that a better route say two lines from the valley to a catch can they send them bach pre-turbo might require two cans and have them check valved?

 

I'm running -10 from both valve covers to a large baffled catch can.

If u baffle the catch can correctly you will have no oil vapor at all
