Default higher power turbo 4l80e setups, whats your converter slip?

i think im getting too much slip.. at 6000 rpm im only at 4700-4800 rpm at the input speed sensor (4l80e). this the same in 2nd and 3rd gear. first gear sees around 5000 on the ISS.

now at 6400 rpm i am seeing 5700 rpm on the ISS so it couples up a little better with higher rpm but... my motor is basically done at 6000 rpm and i dont want to rev it higher. it is a triple disk and i could lock it up but would rather not stress **** and its only 1/8th mile racing. power level was only around 750 rwhp (with the converter locked on the dyno). i didnt dyno with it unlocked. it ran a 6.52 at 111 at this setting raceweight around 3800 pounds unlocked. i know im losing power through slip.. i mean at 4.8/6k rpm thats what 20% slip. FWIW peak power comes in around 5800 rpm

im thinking i should send it in for some tweaking

That's about what mine was at last year. I hit 112 mph in the 1/8th crossing at over 6100 rpm with a 3.25 gear. Switching to a 3.00 gear this year, with more power, will only make it slip more I am sure. Going to see how it reacts with some tractor fluid in the trans (obviously isn't a miracle cure) and go from there. I am sure I will be pulling the trans/engine at some point this year and fixing one or both though. I will get the converter tightened up at that point.

I do like the fact I can build boost really well on the footbrake though!

You can see i am almost 1100 rpm off, this is at the end of 1/8 mile. I lock the converter up in third about 120 mph for the 1/4 mile. I was also thinking this was to much slip for the converter.

This log is at the end of the 1/4 mile with the converter locked.

thats the odd thing. i can only foot brake it to 3100 rpm before it wants to push through the brakes lol. its a 2800 2b triple
