IM going with a Monster. They have treated me good so far. Im sure if it not up to the task Steve/Chris will install me an RPS. I dont think that will be necessary though but thats how they do business.

BTW; finally got up to 13 psi in 4th passing 100mph, it was a very violent transition and kind of scary, but oh.....so fun. Boost controller is set for about 15 psi.....so i see long life out of the turbos. Now running the mile may be a different story. No plans for that though.

Loving this setup. Remember this car is my first foray into a personally owned high performance vehicle. So i sound like a giddy schoolgirl. I was always paid pretty well to abuse the governments HP vehicles the last 25 years.

It does suck to have to pay for abuse of said personal HP vehicle however.

Still interested to know why you guys seem to be killing turbo's over there. I beat the living **** out of my car with the GT30's and 20+ dyno pulls on the 6266's and not one issue. There a few reasons you are blowing the seals out. Evac pump not setup right, no check valve on drains, crank case vent and no restrictors. (yes you need them on JB and BB)

Strictly speaking, at least on a JB turbo anyway, there are no seals that can actually blow out anyway.
There may be some seals on a BB turbo, but really as they need such little oil in the first place, they should be much easier to keep happy as far as the oiling system goes.

That's not to say oil may not pass into turbine or compressor areas. That's a different issue....because there are no actual oil seals in the first place. But it will clean up once oiling is resolved and it is pretty much harmless in most instances

LOL, not the seals Tim the bearings themselves and we've discussed this in detail with Precision. The oiling system on the last four sets were set up exactly to their specs. They warrantied the 4th set but made us upgrade to a DBB setup which is what I put on Jim's car in this post. So far, it's lasted longer than the others.

There are numerous guys experiencing issues with Precisions when you push them hard, ask Reed at Works and he'll tell you all about it. We're not the only ones having issues with Precisions, any amount of researching will show you that.

I appreciate your request for information as I'm sure this in no way has any underlying meaning.

Correct. The "rings" act as seals. The CHRA and bearings that they are using are problematic. We swapped to Comps Oiless and have had zero issues making over 1,400 rwhp in Rene's Cadillac. I'm done, absolutely DONE with Precision at this point.

Also, if you guys want to continue a conversation about turbos lets move it to PM's as I don't want to crap in this thread further.

Im loving the hell out of these turbos so far. Was able to get the boost up to 13 psi but had to immediately get out of it, this was in 4th gear. ...the road is only so wide! Still have the controller set as a one speed with 13psi to the gates from the CO2. Ramp rate is at 25. When the boost does hit, it is violent/fun as hell.

Just a street car remember! but setup to do much more if desired.

No oiling issues either.
