Default BOV/Wastegate vacuum lines

Just finished up my on3 kit and had a question on how to run the lines. I have the bov tee'd into the brake booster but what about the wastegate? No controller so the top port is just vented but on the side port can i just tee into the old evap line behind the TB on the drivers side? Just replace the hard line with a different line? Any help would be appreciated!

You could always run a vacuum block off the back of the intake and have a few ports on it for various things. BOV, WG, boost referenced fuel pressure regulator, etc...

I'm with this guy. I swear I keep on adding and tee-ing into vacuum sources weekly. A block would have been way easier and cleaner. BOV, Wastegate, 3 Bar map, Hobbs switch, and boost gauge are all additional sources that I added. So, you can imagine that it get to be a mess pretty quickly.

That's the plan later on. But as far as the side port on the WG can I tee into where the hard line is behind the TB on the drivers side?

If you connect the wastgate right before the the throttle body and the BOV after it, when the throttle snaps closed the wastgate pressure will spike and open wide at the same time the BOV reads low pressure and also opens. If they are both after, the wastgate will be closed and the turbo will be trying to make boost through an open BOV for an instant. Lots of unnecessary turbine RPMs.

so, what's the correct answer? I'm using a vacuum manifold for all my boost references.

Get a Vac Block and tee it directly to the line of the brake booster. From there run everything.

Do you not have a port on the turbo compressor housing? If so, reference your gate there.

Correct.

And never take feeds for things like fuel pressure reg, MAP sensor and other critical items for anything that may involve an air leak. ie boost control/wastegates.

Yes, wastegate anywhere before the throttle body. I prefer right before the throttle body so the boost drop across the intercooler is compensated for.

I've read so many different opinions on where to reference the WG and boost referenced FPR. Some say before throttle body and some say after throttle body. I've decided to reference my wastegate before the throttle body from the compressor housing. But am still unsure about where to reference the FPR. Some say before the TB so the FPR only sees boost and no vacuum, while others say to reference it after the throttle body. Where are you guys referencing your FPR?

There is no difference in opinion.

FPR should be between the TB and intake valves. ie inlet manifold.

There is no sensible reason to take it from anywhere else.

Almost all boost control setups will tell you to take the pressure line from the compressor cover. Not all, but most and generally it is convenient anyway.

You should never take FPR, MAP sensor etc from the same line as the w/g pipe.
