The 30amp fuse didn't blow b/c it was oversized for the wire gauge causing the wires to get hot enough to melt.

I since had to buy an aftermarket fan harness rated to handle the amp draw of the system...

Anyone used the spal fans with their big motor like this:

Some thinner options are out there:

CFM's drop in kind though. The derale fans seem to be special and not a lot of other options with true high power motors.

I think I might give the spals a shot and just make my own shroud, but time will tell.

Spal fans are the better bet... they make many of the OE fans used by vehicle manufacturers.

I've had success also with the Derale pushers on my turbo TA even in our brutal S. Fla heat, temps never become an issue however the ridiculous voltage drop is something I'd like to minimize.

Here ya go... http://www.autocoolguy.com

Pullers would work better. All OE fans used by vehicle manufacturers are puller fans so their research must show that pullers work better than pushers.

I'm running Derale pushers and they keep my car cool, even when the heat index is over 110 which happens a lot in the summer. I do have the voltage drop but I'm hoping to buy an agm battery that's at least 60 or 70 amp hours and see if it helps.
