Default Maxed out T7875?

Has anybody here really pushed a 7875 turbonetics turbo yet? I think I saw one thread where it ended up getting swapped out for a bigger turbo but it was making in the 7XX range. Ive got one going on a 5.3 and Im curious how far I can take it before its losing efficiency. Im starting at 15 psi which should be close to 700whp in my set up and Im sure theres more left in it. Ive seen people get the precision 7675 to 800+ so will the turbonetics get close to that?

On 15-16 lbs. mine was about 670 rwhp. I ran mine up to 18 on the street a few times and I could tell it didn't like it much on my LQ4. I did go 9.92 @ 140 with it on 14 lbs. though. It was a great turbo for sure. On a 5.3 it should be a lot happier.

I wouldn't see why this turbo shouldn't be just as capable as the cast PT7675. That turbo has made some good power so I wouldn't see why this one shouldn't be able to as well. How much power are you wanting to make?

Im only shooting for high 6xx low 7xx for now but I was just wondering how high its capable of seeing as there arent too many people posting numbers with them. I was originally going with a pt7675 butthe reliability issues scared me off.

This will def be able to get you to those numbers. FWIW I haven't seen or heard of many failures/problems with the precision units in the 7675, its usually there other units that give issues. I upgraded my tc76 to a PT7675CEA and couldn't be happier with the upgrade, I love it.

Bumping this back up, on 17.3 psi it made 771/799 thru a 4l80e with a locked circle d converter and MWC fab 9 with 3.50 gears on my 5.3 set up. I was expecting about 100hp less I'll bring some track numbers when I get some fresh slicks for it.

Some killer numbers on here. Fly_Boy....giving me some hope here....not exactly the same turbo but next year everything should be setup for my 5.3 with On3 7876. Were you spraying meth on the setup or just pump gas?

Bump for more info on these, I'm running them in a twin configuration and not sure they make much more power than the tc76's at lower boost levels(20lbs or less).

Are these turbos physically much smaller that the BW turbos? I like the smaller packaging of the TC's.

Yes, by quite a bit. I had a 7875 and switched to a BW S480. The size and weight difference was huge.

Really the 75 mm turbine is really no different than a PTE 75 mm in a 7675. I would say if you were not at an excessive backpressure with the twin tc7668 (which turbine housing?) that the 7875 probably won't show the larger gains till you crank it up some more. It's really only got a 2mm larger compressor in a slightly larger housing. Pretty sure the billet 75mm compressor will outflow the cast 78 by a decent amount also, but not enough proof on the web. Friend went 9.875 @ 150 with a six speed 6.0L rx7 non-intercooled on a single 7575. 18-20psi, e85/meth, poor 60ft, ~3000lb race weight and very few passes on the newer combo. Not crazy impressive, but does show some potential.

Made 640whp through a th400 and ran 10.35 at 135 1.70 60ft on only 13lbs, around 3700# car at that. Seems to be making some pretty decent power on my stock ls1 and it's hardly breathing yet IMO
