4l80e trans controller which one??

Default 4l80e trans controller which one??

What everyone using? I've been looking at opti shift and simple shift and leaning towards simple shift cause of no laptop use every time you want to change something a shift point or firmness. What's everyone's opinion? What's the easiest to use?

US shift which was optishift before i think, that worked great for us

otherwise stock ecu does a really nice job shifting haha

Is opti shift easy to use? Simple that is. It's taking me a bit to learn microsquirt stuff I don't really want another learning curve . I wanta do burnouts.

I have used the Compushift Controllers in 3 diff cars, although expensive, I love it for the features
full display screen, man/auto mods, etc

I think I'm gonna go with us shift . Their pretty reasonably priced . And they responded quick with some good customer service .

The PCS controller that RPM sells works awesome. Easy to wire up and RPM will give you a good base tune to start with. I run it on my 60e swapped C5Z and love it....

It's about $600 I believe.

Using the pcm that came with the car. HPT bin swapped the file and I got a speartech harness. Works flawlessly.

The trans can also be run as a 4L60e with a bunch of codes turned off and a few tweaks to the settings. Of course you need to either modify your wiring or buy the speartech harness. The polarity has to be swapped on one solenoid (I can't find my notes right this moment but I want to say #3).

This allows for torque converter lockup to be retained on decel, and a few other tricks, but the information seems to be more guarded (I don't have the code list).

I would recommend the TCI ez controller, it's also in the $600 range

It would be cheaper and more reliable to just put a 4 speed TCI outlaw shifter in it and buy the MVB controller from jake's performance: http://www.jakesperformance.com/4L80E_Components.html

Put a switch on it to lock up the TC when you want and be done with it.
